Nothing against their club, however, a Cronulla slide is beneficial for week 1 finals attendances.
yep
imagine if they won the right to host another Sydney team at home in a week one final , it was bad enough with 12500 V the Cowboys last year

They'd insist the rule is the rule for week one & play there too , even against their 8 Sydney opponents

time to change the rule Abdo !

It's great to see a winning team being totally and continually supported by their fans.
It's all about creating a local home support culture, creating demand for memberships and season tickets.
This is the type of support that puts pressure on for stadium upgrades.

More Sunday games would be nice, particularly when we are homeless

Storm seemly have joined up with the wallabys for a dual ticket option (storm @marvel Friday, wallabies @mcg saturday)

Interested to see how the crowd goes for a second game at Marvel, and how much of the 1st games crowd was for the novelty factor

Worth mentioning the matilda's sold out AAMI on the Monday as well, busy weekend of sport down here

They should have made that week one venues rule include a minimum capacity of maybe 15k, 20k would be better.

Do one where it is as if our Sydney aggregate was divided by 2 clubs!!!

Say we only had 2 clubs, what would be the average crowd for rugby league in Sydney

East Sydney (Easts + Souths + St George (Syd games) + Manly + Cronulla) ÷5

West Sydney (Wests + Parra + Penrith + Canterbury) ÷ 4

And the average across both the hypothetical clubs

Sydney fans dont travel across suburbs, it wouldn't be that many.

In 1990, 8 years relocation, the Swans averaged 9,275.
In 1995 it was 15,976
In 2000 it was 25,563
In 2005 it was 28,733 at SCG and 32,346 overall (3 homebush games)
In 2010 it was 28,975 at SCG and 30,675 overall (3 homebush games)
In 2015 it was 32,254 at SCG and 31,521 overall (3 homebush games)

I think we want to be careful bagging the Giants. Clearly the plan is to start filling the smaller Homebush venue and take marquee games to the bigger Homebush venue until that becomes the main venue. They are only 13 years old, they take 3 games to Canberra, and the AFL really only have to focus on them in Sydney now that the Swans are pulling strong average crowds.

the Midgets have made finals regularly since inception & the GF in 2019 , that'd be the main difference between them & the Swines in the first 8 years

when the Swines made the GF in 1996 , their crowds sky rocketed in 1997
when the midgets made the 2019 one , their crowds went backwards

And they are still lying about them.
