Sorro or Moses should come off the bench to replace Spencer, Unless the Alamonti to bench middle rumours are correct. That changes things up although seems too risky to be true

I havent heard any rumours but I was thinking Alamoti is big enough to play as a hard running back rower.

With the way Garner has finally got up to speed I wouldnt mind Sorro shifting back to that middle role. Maybe start him and bring Mos off the bench but either way it would be nice to have someone more experienced to fill out the middle rotation.

Also got to shout out Kenny. That last try he came up with a bit of something to get both markers going the wrong way. I wish I had 50 bucks on him for first try scorer haha

He has come along well. It was great work from Kenny in that set. No panic after the crash plays fell short. And then he really sold the pass right before shifting left to Cleary.

That is how I see it, Garner got fit and was pretty good.

Hosking like Smith fell away due to how long the season went, I'd tip he will be very good after an off season and a rest.

So him in for Spencer looks the best option so far, of course we still have an off season to play out and someone could come from the clouds

Garner to the edge Sorro to the middle, I wanted Sorro put on the edge but he wasn't much more than a live body, he offered more in the middle and hopefully will again. Garner hasn't been very impressive but his single ability to run a great line is worth giving him the spot and chance to prove he can be generally solid in the other areas. Hosking has proved he's solid in all areas and that's all, wouldn't mind seeing him get some minutes in the middle just to see how he goes.

Basically if Sorro doesnt get back into the middle we will be relying on Henry or someone even younger to play a pretty important role. Its going to be interesting to see how Ivan handles it.

I'd put Martin on the left too. Cleary's better at putting a player through a hole which suits Garner and Luai did well with Kiks as a bulldozer which is more similar to how Martin plays than Sorro, Hosking or Garner.

Something I haven't seen mentioned was Sorro's effort for Nathans try, great awareness to get the f**k out out of dodge so there was no obstruction. Thats one of the great things about this team 100% switched on even 75 minutes into one of the fastest paced most intense games ever played.

They've been doing it all year and none of the analysts gave noticed. Decision making under fatigue has been fantastic.

They'd be taking his strengths and removing his weaknesses- lateral movement in defence.

Yeah, I've seen a few of the boys do similar all year. This one was crucial though. If he stayed where he was he would have impeded Walsh from getting a touch on Nath then collapsing in despair in the in goal. To have had it go upstairs would have been horrible.

Damn imagine relying on Klein for a match winning gf try. He'd somehow find a way to rob both teams.

Sorro has been near perfect for us since coming

In 2021 against the Tigers defending on the line he didn't trust his inside man (Fish) pushing out and conceded a try.

Hasn't put a foot wrong since.

Similarly Leota going through the line on Cleary's break meant he avoided the obstruction and could support.

The little 1%ers won the game.

If not for Cleary's spectacular final 20 minutes of the game, had Penith still won, I thought Moses Leota had been the best Panthers player on the paddock myself (as I said in the game spoilers forum). He kept playing hard in attack and defence whilst he was on the field. JFH was good, but I thought Leota overshadowed him.

On an unrelated note, thought this worth sharing, for those who haven't aleady read/seen it -

(Sorry I've used up my only free article where I'm currently at, so I can't access it to post the text)

Haas charged with grade 1 hipdrop on Cleary, only got a fine. That's the reason Nath hurt his knee. Off for scans, may not be available to play for Australia.
