When I told my wife back in 2020 we had something special here, I didn't realise just how special!
After watching the Panthers since 1967 I feel blessed and very fortunate to have seen these last 10 years. I am jealous of my grandchildren that only know success for the Panthers. I hope they never have to go through the dark old days!

Something I haven't seen mentioned was Sorro's effort for Nathans try, great awareness to get the f**k out out of dodge so there was no obstruction. Thats one of the great things about this team 100% switched on even 75 minutes into one of the fastest paced most intense games ever played.

The grandchildren wont believe the struggles.

The eternal Cowan regime, the Boods tragedy, the Adamson / Roycey coaching scandal.

Cranky Franky, the Izard boys, Zivanovic.
Camel, the Priddo Problem, the President v Rossy. MG and Geoff Gerard.

Craig Gower, Craig Trindall, Jennings.

A colourful past.

I even recall the proposed merger during the war.

A close call.

The Footy Five.

Satts tackle, the best in league history.

The good and the bad led to this, your finest hour except perhaps …the arrival of your first premiership.

Shout out to the bouncers and staff at the club. They do a great job,

It’s a good time to reflect on everything that’s led to this indelible moment in rugby league history.

Tallis said that in his view, Leota was up there with Lazarus, Petero and Webke in his view. There were a few comments about how immense the Penrith middles were. Of course, he went on to say Mam should have got the CCM. He really hates Cleary!

JFH and Leota play for NSW, the Blues are going back to back. They really are that good.

Mam>Cleary ffs, that’s comedy gold.

Tallis needs to be stuffed and mounted.

Gordie all over the place tonight. Said that Cleary didn’t deserve the CC because Leota was great. When asked if that meant Mann didn’t deserve it because Haas was great, he answered ‘that’s my point.’

Um, no it wasn’t Gordie. If your point was it is pointless to give a Man-of-the-Match award because it is a team game, then fine. But that wasn’t the point you were making.

For once the panel treated him like the ‘dribbling grand-father yelling at the TV’ he has become, and just showed disdain for his opinion.

Well done to you Sir, very classy.
Probably no consolation today, but I thought you had us. The character shown to come back from being pounded in the first half was both brilliant and will hold you in good stead for the future. I think the amount of work you needed to do in the first half showed at the end, and when Cleary and Crichton wrestled the momentum it was too hard to stop.

Bronocs today feel like where we were after 2020. Broncos have a young team and have all the parts to be successful for a while; I look forward to many great games with this side.
I think it was Cam Smith in 2021 said you have to lose one to win one.

Do not forget he is an ex Bronco, owned and controlled by Newscorp and paid to pump the tyres of all things Queensland.
His constant rhetoric regarding the "owning Origin" rubbish, is the most laughable argument in any debate.
More players miss Origin because of poor selection practices as opposed to being fantastic club players during the years.
Nathan has achieved more in his 25 years than most players in a career and there is obviously more to come.

With Spencer leaving we might need to look at benching Leota or Fish in certain games. Can't have them both off the field

TBH I love spencer and his impact but he still has some things in his game that hurt us, all of his impact is with metres and our props are mostly there for defence. Last two games Spencer was slow to marker against storm and which led to harry grant linebreak that would've been a try if cleary didnt make a play. Then gave away a silly penalty that led to broncs first try. Again I love his impact with the ball but I got nervous for our defence when he comes on sometimes. If we had two Lindsay smiths coming off the bench im not we miss spencers impact that much. At our best we arent a team that needs impact, we grind teams down across 80 minutes.

Just watched a replay. Cogger helped change the attack. Played real well.
I'd almost of rather kept Crighton and let Luai go based on this seasons form. Crighton has been amazing.

I want to see us incorporate some of that same style into our structure next year, i think that is our next step in evolving the team and Nathan. Luai can do what Cogger did. Having Nathan and Jarome switch first second receiver roles for periods of a game would make us a lot less predictable. And playing some first receiver initiating plays would force Jarome to play straighter where he is at his best. If defensive lines start sliding out to cover Nathan, Jarome can burn them with footwork and speed.

Sorro or Moses should come off the bench to replace Spencer, Unless the Alamonti to bench middle rumours are correct. That changes things up although seems too risky to be true
