Random question that came to mind watching the Dolphins vs Souths. Why do Souths have the Classic logo with a kangaroo, but every other team using them as a manufacturer has the standard Classic logo ?

Interesting pick-up

Even on the classic website this is the case

The silhouette of the soldiers on the top black band is all that’s needed. All the rest is just fluff.
That was my reaction too.

Clubs are going overboard with all the ANZAC-inspired designs. If they are going to do them, just keep it simple and on par with the regular jersey design. Or, even better, just get a simple embroidery of a sprig of rosemary above the Telstra Premiership logo or club logo or between the two. Done.

I'd love to know who the clubs are aiming for with these anzac jerseys. At $160 a pop I'm assuming its not kids. If it isn't kids then I'm not sure how many grown men and women would wear them.

Let the teams who actually play on the day wear a tasteful anzac jersey (which adults might actually buy). I know that there would then be calls of inequity from clubs that do play on Anzac day but they could be compensated by having a special jersey at another appropriate time.

Yep. This.
ANZAC Day this year is a Tuesday. I, admittedly, haven't looked to see if the weekend before (most likely), or after is the designated ANZAC Round, but whichever it is, there are clubs playing 5 days away, almost a week out, from the day itself. If they want a reason to put out a 'special' jersey, allow the 13 clubs not playing on ANZAC Day to have a one-off jersey at other times of the season. There are plenty of other opportunities!

Not a fan of the concept but the Dogs got pretty close to perfection on this one. It’s identifiable as a Dogs jersey and not over the top with cammo or pictures of soldiers.

I wonder what jersey Penrith will wear against Newcastle tonight? I was certain they would wear their pink kit last year but they wore their black jersey instead.

Penrith should look at getting a white kit next season as an alternate.
