I wonder if Ponga would rule himself out. Feels like he still owes us something after how last year his season finished after origin 3 and then the footy he's missed for us this year.

I can just see Ponga scoring a try to win game III against NSW then copping a head knock and missing the rest of the year for us… basically worst case scenario in my books.

if Ponga gets a head knock in either game 2 or 3 of SoO, he’ll be forced to sit out the following 2 games for Newcastle due to the 11 day forced layoff.

If he gets another concussion in the next few months he probably won't play again this year.

Scans today (or tomorrow) to determine exact diagnosis, but AOB said early thoughts are meniscus and 4-6 weeks.

Jayden is such a likable person. He works so hard in defense and his passing is so crisp from dummy half. He also showed some great running skills against Manly when we actually dominated the middle. I wish he could stay fit because my heart is screaming he is Bedsy's heir but my head is yelling that we need a hooker who can play more than 10 games a season.

Is Elliott fit and ready to go and even if so same old Band-Aid fix, what if Brailey is out for say 10wks plus.
Would be a pity to ruin our season because we only had one player covering a spine position especially after our good start, 6 rounds top 8
