I think people still sleep on Cam Murray somewhat.

Murray ball plays as well, he just does things a bit faster than Yeo. But Yeo can play 80 mins consistently and Murray can't.

Look they're basically as good as each other. The reason Murray should start is that Yeo has had a shot, so give Cam a turn.
Murray plays 80 every week

Not wanting them picked and scratching your head why they were overlooked for other options is 2 different things.

Luai getting the arse is media driven. He was far from worst on field both games, others far shitter got a pass because ReAsOnS.

Tago I wouldn't have picked anyway, but if you are picking Best, then he should be in the conversation. He owned Best less that 2 weeks ago, then destroyed Melbourne, Best played well yesterday, and you can only play whats in front of you, but f**k me, my Nan would have scored a hattrick against that Dogs side.

Drinkwater? lol.

Lenui is in the extended squad, we are short of decent front rowers, just seems odd he isn't in the 17.

Still dont care, I'd rather the 3peat than maybe win a dead rubber.

Is NSW getting the Best that:

Tore Dogs apart or that was being shopped around a month ago?

Can’t really blame Freddy for dropping Hudson I guess. Once it became clear Billy was going to pick Big Red, he had no alternative under the maximum 1 Raider per Origin match rule.

And really, it's all a team running equal 3rd deserves.

Hence why Penrith fans scratch their heads, Replace players from clubs going well with players from duds.

Even Cody Walker. IF Luai isn't a longer term prospect then surely Hynes is the one?

He is in a side running top 4, After winning the Dally M and finishing 2nd last year

NSW is just f**ked relying on two glass cannons and a broken down old man.

Freddy's just compounding shit.

Just because a player plays for a club side that’s going well, it doesn’t mean that they’re necessarily the right type of player for Origin. This is something that NSW and our selectors have massively failed to comprehend and the main reason we’ve lost the series.

Penrith are a good example of that. Fantastic club team with fantastic structures no doubt, but their players (particularly the halves) have mostly shown to massively struggle out of it. Origin suits blokes that have vision and can play a bit off the cuff and change up the game plan when it’s not working…those players aren’t always from the top teams.

I can guarantee you that QLD wouldn’t pick Cleary over DCE just because Penrith are good and Manly are bad.

Agreed. Hynes is a flat-track bully, which is why he looks like Thurston, Lewis, and Joey Johns when he plays us. However, he probably deserved more than 10 minutes in the centres in Game 1 before being dropped.

Dropping Luai is a strange one. He did himself no favours with being sent-off in the dying seconds and his post-match antics, but he certainly hasn't been the worst performer for NSW.

QLD won 8 in a row picking players in form, from winning clubs.

NSW picks players who are the flavour of the weeks and lose

Holy f**king shit. Freddy has lost whatever fragments of his tiny mind he had left, right?

Or he wants to really go down and take the whole state of NSW with him

Retaining Squid Games, Crichton and JAC who have been horrible.

Best? He's absolutely garbage.
Walker? He's a bigger downhill skier than Moses and loses his shit the minute anything goes against him.
Fat Jake hasn't moved further than from the couch to get the Door dash delivery since before game one.
Kaloama-who?
Saifiti has been on f**ken milk cartons all year
Gutho on the bench with a hooker, a crap prop and a lock?

He's outdone himself the space cadet. Elite tier trolling

Yes it really is a nonsense argument. Player in bad team must be worse than player in good team.

Best is like 5th choice centre and people are melting down. Latrell, Trbo, Graham all injured and Burton would have been picked ahead him. edit: I was looking at the wrong team, forgot Burton wasn't picked at centre after all. meh much of a muchness to me as far as this game goes.

I forgive people for not watching Knights games but Jacob Saifiti (and his brother) has been one of our worst players this year and made the bench. Now that deserves some meltdowns. Sure he's done the job before but he is an absolute plodder this year, barely deserves to be in 1st grade. Better than his brother at least I guess.

They won 8 in a row picking 4 - 5 spine players that will almost all be Immortals and some damn good props, too. Actually they often did the complete opposite of what you said? Picked players they knew they could rely on to perform at that level even if they were going busted for their NRL club.

QLD’s best player last year in the decider was Ponga whose club team won 6 games the entire season.

It’s also pretty well known that during that period QLD trusted their players to get the job done regardless of their club form.

You don’t think Slater, Cronk, Smith and Thurston would have still been picked if one of them moved to the Tigers? Come off it. Ben Hunt’s position was never in doubt despite playing for the Dragons.

Freddy f**ked up by lazily packing his side with Penrith players expecting them just to get the job done because they’re successful in club land, rather than actually looking at their individual games to assess whether they have the right skill set the succeed at Origin.
