Polishing a turd

seven don’t need to do it with the afl

seven trying to fool people they have the most watched sporting event when they don’t

Seven literally did this with the AFL Grand Final. Both Seven and Nine used to do it in their regular AFL/NRL releases

To be a real NRL fan u have to hope all other sports fail. God forbid u might have other interests
Lol exactly. Insecurity is such a funny thing. People choosing to watch a woman’s international tournament? How dare they!

To be fair to the Matildas, they were up against in particular The Ashes. Origins and AFL GF didn't have that competition.
Any casuals would’ve watched the soccer then switched over to the tests

back in the day I would cheer for the wallabies and swans opponents

but yeh seeing other sports like union and afl fail gives me joy

soccer fans are insecure too tbh the minute their little sport has a bit of success they talk about taking over

rugby league and cricket seem To be the only sports in Australia who are comfortable with how big they are and don’t need to try and exaggerate or lie about their status in Australian sports

I am not watching it because I hate soccer, So boring.

Cricket still got watched along side the footy
Watching 90 mins plus injury time is such a punish

heck the ref blowing a penalty every two minutes would drive me batty

a highlights package of one minute would be my tolerance for a soccer game

its no wonder rugby league dominated both soccer union and vfl when it was introduced here

tonight’s games are very tasty shame latrell is out

I can't talk I hate afl & yet I use to be a big fan (for my year 12 art project I drew afl players). Talk of taking over other sports has turned me off. World is more interesting with variety.

Solid numbers for the NRL last night
under a mill , but only just
about 960K

outrated the cricket ( overall) & smashed the aflol by nearly 200K viewers

early game was decent too at about 280K
