Storm to miss the 8? That is a brutal draw not only playing most of last years top8 twice but Souths and Parra twice who are the strongest of the teams that missed the 8
Not if its Bellamys last year.

I predict they’ll grind out enough close wins to scrape into the 8…and then a week 1 finals exit.

Rumour has it NQ have lost a home game for Magic Round in 2024.

I'd say this is why the Indigenous All Stars is being played up there as this was the NRL's way in keeping the QLD state gov happy that NQ will only have 11 home games at QCB and All Stars will make up for the lost revenue.

I get that all teams fans get angry when they're given home games at Magic Rd but NQ's closest away game is 1600kms from Tvl (2k kms if you live in Cairns), it's not like a Sydney club where a lost home game can be made up easily enough by just going to an away game somewhere else in Sydney.
Confirmed to be a souths home game on their website, would have been madness for cowboys to take a home game to magic round. I wonder if the NRL will ever consider making it a standalone round?

Also a womens origin game in townsville next year, so QCB is getting a lot of utilisation since being built.

Yep

Sharks wont be laughing when Wests, Saints, Dogs and Titans all finish Top 4
Yeah maybe one of those does a warriors and rockets up the table but it's a safe bet 3 of them miss the 8 and at least one stays bottom four.

Teams get soft draws every year, I think it's just the fact the sharks have got this 3 years running that is bemusing.

Titans maybe, on paper they are decent enough and Des tends to do well in his first season at a club. Other 3 will do well to finish in the top 12.

Anzac round should be games in Tsv, Brisbane, Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne and NZ plus the Roosters/Dragons game and one other Sydney game.

Quote from their website

The venues for two Dolphins home games – against the Sea Eagles on Thursday May 9 and the Raiders on Saturday June 1 – remain to be confirmed, due to the finalisation of dates for weekend track works on the Queensland Rail network. One of these two games will be at Suncorp Stadium and one will be at Kayo Stadium

Yeah i'm glad sanity prevailed and it's South's home game, they'll make more money than playing us in Sydney so it's a win/win for mine.

It's good to see QCB getting some extra use with rep games, the All Stars game might be a bit wet, that time of year can be pretty shit in NQ.

NQ's draw is decent enough, only having 2 home games in the first 7 weeks is good as it minimises shit weather/cylone impacts on crowd figures.

My only gripe is the storm game being a thursday, that game is usually a 20k plus crowd, it will be lucky to get 15-16k on a thursday unless it's a top of the table clash which i highly doubt as i think we'll be shit again in 2024.

This would be the reason if the NRL expanded to the USA the west coast has by far the best time slots.
Friday night at 6.30 Vegas time equals Saturday 12.30 pm Sydney time ( sea eagles v rabbits )
Friday night 8.30 pm Vegas time equals Saturday 2.30 Pm Sydney Time ( Roosters v broncos)
then 2 games
Eels v bulldogs at 5.30pm Sydney time and
Titans v Dragons 7.30pm Sydney time
Super Saturday
Again if west coast expansion happened you could have 3 Saturday games Californian time, which translate to Sunday afternoon Sydney time.
