Moving onto the next one, well, what do you even say coming into this week. We are back at home, finally back at Accor for the first time in what feels like a long time to take on the Storm in a game that quite frankly, could be anything. I really don't know what to think or what to say.

I will say that I'm once again feeling a sense of doom for this one, and I hate to say it, but I think that there's no way we even get anywhere near close to the Storm. We are running on fumes and running out of troops. I think we could put in as much effort as we like, but we just do not have the class to match them. It genuinely could be a massacre similar to Anzac Day, if not worse. I really hope the boys fire up again, see it as a good challenge and give it their all, I mean anything is possible I guess, but I can't see how we win. There's no doubt we really need Cody back so hopefully he's sweet.

Melbourne are coming off a loss and that only spells bad news for us. They rarely lose two in a row and Bellamy will be whipping them into shape this week. They are top of the ladder right now for a reason, because they are probably the best team in the comp right now. The benchmark. They are one of the best attacking sides and one of the best defensive sides so who knows what happens.

Buckle up Souths fans, this could get ugly.

Crowd predictions?

I will go 7892.

I will be there with Dad will be wrapped up nice and warm. Call me a nutter but it’s nice to have a home game I’ll be on my feet clapping my hands and stamping my feet pumped at 7:49pm on Thursday.

Cmon Souths just show some resilience and will to fight.

We will be destroyed this game unfortunatly.

After Melbs performances last game.

The bounceback and Melb usually dont play 2 bad games in a row.

So no Liva or Host for this one, possibly Teaupa too.

I'm not too worried about Host and Teaupa, but Liva is the big loss there. Given the pack we're going to go up against, we need as many big bodies with impact as we can get. Liva is currently one of our best at that and he's not going to be there ughhhhh.

Doesn't sound great on Cody too. If he's out, I think we either have to bring Hawkins back if fit (yikes), or play Gray there.

Jeezus Christ.

Stories from today's training. It looked like a more relaxed, recovery session by the looks of that?

54-20. That was the score on Anzac Day, the last time we met the Storm. We got 50 put on us and if it wasn't for a brief fightback mid-game, it would have been an absolute thrashing.

We hard arguably a better team back then than we do now, and Melbourne had about the same side as they do now.

Can anyone really see this result on Thursday night being any better or any different? I can't.

Happy enough with that line up given all the outs we have. Not much we can do with the backline, that is what it is.

Great to see Cody named!! That means that again, he's still a chance of playing. The Thursday night game doesn't play in our favor there, but fingers crossed. Him being named and not instantly ruled out is promising. Hawkins to return and come in if he's not right. That's better than Teaupa at least.

In the pack, we're largely unnamed with Chee Kam moving into the starting side on the right edge for the injured Host. I'd rather see Tallis there, but I guess I don't mind it. Cheeks can do a job in the second row, we know that.

Plenty of change on the bench with Pete and Shaq coming back. I'm stoked to see Shaq return!! We need a big body there for impact, and he can do that. Not sure how we inject Pete, but when he does come on, this is his chance to show us whether he's really up to it or not against the best in the comp.

Why do I feel a little fired up after seeing the team list?? Lord help me.

Bring it on Thursday!!

Pete is only there because Cookie is our option to cover an injury in the backs.
When Havili is there we don’t seem to have a spot for Pete.
So what does this mean for Pete next year?

Just seen we've blown out to $5.20 in the betting while the Storm are $1.16. Sheesh. Is that the longest odds we've been? Like ever??

At least the five-day turnaround is negated by them having one too.

I'm clutching at straws here....

I have revised my opinion of mamazoulos,he had a chance to show us his wares this year and he hasnt, we f**ked up resigning him, id be trying tallis or ilias as hooker until humphrys comes becauae i see him as bennets 9 next year, im sick of seeing cookie falling off tackles, maybe its for the best his off

The captain's run today is going to be super interesting, mainly to see if Cody trains. God, I hope so.

I shall be watching the Bunnies TV stream with great intrigue.

Cody out there and looks like he warmed up fully based off that footage so that's a good sign!! Of course, he has to get through the whole session, but it looks like he may be good to go. Big boost!

Everyone else was out there and the boys are looking in good spirits based off of that.
