Wade would be less of a problem if he scored runs. Its unusual how poorly he bats considering he isnt the worst normally.

His test average is low thirties even before his current run in the side. His batting is the biggest myth in Australian cricket. Even bigger than Mitch Marsh!

Given his propensity for geniused nicknames Lyon should start replying with "thanks Ed"

What I'd pick for Sydney, and looking towards India.

Renshaw
Warner
Khawaja
Smith
Handscomb
Travis Head (can bowl a decent 10-15 overs of spin, also a great player of spin)
Nevill
Starc
Hazelgood
Lyon (unless a younger bloke like Zampa etc says f**king pick me)
Bird

In India, I'd open with SMarsh instead of Renshaw, I like the kid, but Marsh is one of our best players of spin.
Someone like MMarsh or Cartwright in for Bird. Keep the three quicks if they pick Wade, he can always bowl a few if needed. Warner tends to throw them down now too instead of leggies. Smith probably needs to bowl a bit more too.

We need a spinner coming through.

Yes Wade has been given another go and he's failing. He has to go for good now. Got to bring Nevill back.

Another concern is how would Renshaw handle things in India????

I think S. Marsh will come in for Maddinson.
Weren't you president of the Scissorhands fan club??? Gee you jumped of quick. You did tell me he would show me how much he has improved.

Taylor, Warne and Ponting have pushed for Maxwell to tour India. No doubt at all they pick the gimp for the Sydney test and then he will make the tour to India.

As soon as an Aussie great opens their mouths it's a given the selectors will listen to them.

Smith wont because hes a laid back dude but at the press conference tomorow he should get stuck in to the mcg curator

Its three tests in a row where australia has scored 500 in the first innings. Pakistan scored 430 odd, west indies didnt score much but they lasted 80 overs for the first time since 2012 and india scored like high 400s.

Its unacceptable that any half decent side can just churn out 1000 runs between them on the mcg. No joke if australia was just batting for runs and werent interested in moving the game along we could probably score 1000 on that pitch ourselves. This is a pretty soft australian side too.

Smith has literally left any ball amir has bowled that pitched on the stumps because the ball is doing absolutely nothing. There was one ball that might have very slightly moved a bit when the ball was new that smith had to block.

With the scg test so quickly after the mcg test (im predicting a flat piece of shit at Sydney too) its a joke to have bowlers having to toil on such a crap pitch

I was just saying he deserved another go.

Unfortunately he's not up to it.

I believe his keeping is a little bit better than it was (still not up to test standard) but his batting seems a lost cause.

I'd rather Head over Maxwell.

We haven't a 6 that made a contribution since Hussey retired, don't think that's an exaggeration either

And i said he didn't deserve another go and his keeping hadn't improved. He's done nothing at all to deserve a recall just dribble rubbish behind the stumps and talk himself up.
