does it really matter if it rains ?

we still win the series if we draw and we still go to No 1 in the test rankings, mind you I'd rather win than draw but same result either way

Peter Nevill is a pretty shit batsmen for a modern day keeper

First class average of 41 and bats at 4-5...I'd disagree.

He's just adapting to batting lower thanks to this ridiculous idea that a keeper has to bat 7. Nevill is more a Sangakarra than a Gilchrist. He's a batsman, not a hitter.

*I am not insinuating he's in the same class as those players, obviously.

Surely the 6 spot could be his if he asked for it.

Yeah but a keeper is a keeper first, that's why everyone reckons Wade is shit. Because he catches like a pumpkin with hands.

Scissorhands did

Nevill is a good keeper, just his average with the bat for a modern day player isn't very good at the moment.

Rod Marsh and Ian Healy averaging 27 with the bat was acceptable because of the pitches they played on and the bowlers they had to face in that era,

In the modern era i think most would agree a keeper should be a good batsmen too.
Ya feel me playa

Nevill will improve. He's got a strong technique and a good mental approach to batting.

6 runs different in test cricket

Wade costs us well more than that when he keeps, that's the math we cant see

Yes he does look good when he bats, nice style and technique

Its a bit scary though that we have Marsh at 6 and Nevill at 7 and there not doing much with the bat at the moment,Both these merkins need to improve soon.

Nothing wrong with Nevill's keeping but having Marsh and Nevill at 6 and 7 averaging less than 30 with the bat is a big worry.

The day will come when we are 5/50 and need one of these merkins to play a match saving innings.

Do you mind me asking why you thought the teams were close prior to this series?

Is Aus better, NZ worse or both?

Thought we were close because we were better in the UAE, we were better in England... then Boult got hurt - the Brisbane test was disastrous then the series in Aust was close, and Adelaide, we the Llong factor was a factor...

You've improved, we've slipped - our bowlers have done poorly, we missed Taylor and there's been a huge focus on Williamson - Aust has been very impressive in all aspects in these two tests, good tosses to win, but you allowed us a sniff

I put a lot down to Smith - he's really impressed me

Sorry bruh but you guys weren't better in the UAE than us,you got destroyed in the 1st test against Pakistan, after that Phillips Hughes passed away and both teams didn't care in the test that NZ ended up winning to draw the series, that wasn't a true test match at all.
