What about Andrew Jones in best batsmen discussion?

He, the two John Reids Fleming, Richardson, etc just below imo... Jones wasn't as good as Crowe and they played together - but a fine, and unusual player, loved the way the Aussies laughed at him, and he proceeded to churn out runs...

Golden two home summers of test cricket for us, last year against the Poms, and these two series - these two tests against India have had everything, and today has just been brilliant - still could be exciting tomorrow... but what a series for McCullum

I have today and tomorrow off, they were meant to be my sleep in days - I think I'll be waking up early, going and getting a coffee and a brekkie role and cheering the black caps on.

The biscuit wheels are falling off the chocolate wagon here.

I was Lords in 2011 when India couldn't get a wicket and Dhoni tried this. It was a disaster then and the shit the crowd gave him was epic.

What did Dhoni try?

Curse the time difference, I'm overseas and the game is on at stupid hours in the morning!
Awesome stuff McCullum, top 3 all time NZ innings for sure if we manage to pull off the win tomorrow.

I wouldn't declare, the wicket is decent, no spinner and the Indian lineup is dangerous...

make them dismiss us and have a crack at them... 1-0 is awesome, 2-0 would be even better, but I'd HATE a 1-1 result

4 Indian bowlers have a ton to their name, no wonder they like to play on their own pitches

I wouldn't declare as long as McCullum is there. I think Neesham deserves a shot at a century too.

Hell, if India's bowlers or fatigue don't catch him, McCullum has more than enough time to go for 400, as ridiculous as that may sound.

Great day for NZ, in particular Brendon McCullum and BJ Watling. Also the knock at the end of the day by Jimmy Neesham who will hopefully go on and make a 100 tomorrow, it would be well deserved.

Bugger the declaration, NZ already lead the series 1-0 so just keep batting until at least lunch or at least set India an impossible target.
