Kiwis need to bat first to have any chance

You would hope so.Bat first and actually bat well...
Worrying things is aside from generally bowling tidy lines, and Tom Latham, we showed absolutely nothing in the first test. I expect Williamson to step up for sure
Listening to a discussion on the sudden crackdown on illegal bowling actions, it sounded like especially since the IPL came to such prominance India have seriously cracked down on dodgy actions in domestic cricket - as Australia and England have tended to, so they don't get called because they don't make it to international cricket. Since the triumverate (which, i have to say, I'm very concerned about in regard to international crickets future) came to power this crackdown has come into play - which certainly helps when the big three have been stopping the actions early.More of the same from Pakistan I think.
Hafeez has been reported for a suspect action. I wonder if an Indian will ever be reported for a suspect action.
coming off a wrist injury, possibly not mtch fitNZ 2/209
so batting first seems to be a massive bonus here.
Lets see how Pakis go batting 2nd (provided kiwis can post 450 plus at least)
I thought Williamson was a gun player of spin?
Ahmed Shehzad the Pakistani opener isn't in this test for some reason. Don't know why?
Azhar Ali I read will open with Taufeeq Umar.
Draw coming up.
I guess it's a lack of batting depth/concern over all rounders, but I would've thought only one of neesham and anderson would've been necessary, then McCullem back down at five, and someone opening (I guess Rutherford, who simply may not be any better option). All the experience is out, so we're still in a fragile position imo
