Maybe if they did so in a polite manner and didn't flat out call them all liars then your question would be valid. If someone called me a liar I'd tell them to get f**ked.

People obviously have agenda's for the old and new board

There will be people who will stick up for the old board and people who support the move forward with the new board.

We all by now know that certain posters on here will defend the old board to the top of the hill and to speak also the new board.

The question now being raised is the original poster, where have they been since the TAB was taken out and why didn't they whinge back then?

No, I'm happy the way that Ando is steering the team Terry. He was a great appointment.

I agree that our club is for some the only means of interaction, and that is why the club has to have something to offer everybody, and that will happen with very careful planning, but that cannot happen overnight. Things like the TAB and better service for our members and guests can be addressed in the immediate future. I will ask board members where they are at with the betting facility and see when they think it will be reinstated.

You see? Perfect response and I don't see any reason why I should be lambasted and called a coward or labelled someone who is taking potshots or stirring sh*t simply because I contributed to an online thread instead of hanging around last Sunday.

Mate, there was 'one', pot shot taken, not by you as we all know, and that was accusing the 3P group as being liars.
It was out of order, and thankfully, the mods have seen fit to edit the title.
As for asking questions, I don't think one person has said that there is a problem with that.

I certainly hope you're not referring to me. The old board is gone. The new board is here and they are the ones we direct our questions to.

I actually think he did but he had direct contact with members of the old board and so wasn't left to use the internet as a last resort.

If someone has the time to start a thread on here bitching (which is what the original post/thread title was), they've got the time to ring the club and/or email with their questions if they are genuinly concerned and wanting answers.

As for your whining about my 12 months statement, you know full well you are guilding the lilly with your claim that means nobody can question the new board until then. It was a simple statement about a period of time that I thought was appropriate to assess the board on the job they've done. Nothing to do with holding them account.

I have been working in the club industry for 30 years(Managing golf courses) It does take time for TABS to be organised and going thru the process of applying for them. But i find it hard to comprehend that parra leagues didnt have 1,cos almost every club has one.

I assume they did exactly what a lot of you guys are going to do on Saturday and take their business elsewhere. They now fell they have an opportunity to be heard and are using the voices.

Most people feel it is not worth the effort to try and correct a problem when their wants can be filled elsewhere.

Why haven't we seen more action from members trying to get the family friendly club a lot of people want? maybe because it is easier to just find a place that suits your needs.

And how many does it take to implement promises that were made?

I'm not expecting them to have the HoF done by now, or the grandstand finished. I'm expecting a simple bloody TAB to be put in place as was promised.

I'll assess them 12 months time and see how they're going.

I think they're doing a fine job - with the highlight being the appointment of Osborne.

Why wasn't the question put to a board member then, or failing that, in the near future when again, you would have a similar opportunity?

I wonder now that an appropriate and satisfactory answer has been provided, that he will get back on here and apologise for such a baseless alegation.
