Pretty much this. And he's helped reveal more about the toxic culture that some people still cling to as a good thing, which I can only assume is why a few are leaping on him for being honest.
The guy has owned his mistake, but because he's dated explain where it came from and exposed the culture that created it from an inside perspective people are cling him names.
Kerry is right. The fact that he would have felt as bad as he did for doing it of he'd said no, and the fact that he said yes because he felt it would help him fit in, is a damning indictment of the culture at the time.
Bancroft isnt a kid he is an adult who played cricket his whole life and was complicit.
