Loyalty is everything. You clearly don't understand that

No, I simply understand that loyalty goes both ways. Warner forfeited his right to his team mates loyalty when he came up with a plan to cheat.

Smith forfeited his right to CAs loyalty when he let it happen. You seem to be fine with that concept.

I can't see Smith captaining again, especially as Mitch Marsh is being groomed for the job

There’s no way Mitch Marsh can survive much longer if he keeps up his long time form. Eventually they’re going to have to dump him.

Ponting said on channel 7 he expects Smith will be the next captain. I think you see his leadership qualities in the way he’s handled himself this year.

You mean in March when he turned a blind eye to cheating?

Bancroft saying that Warner was the instigator is fine, no problems with that.

What the issue is that he implies that everyone was in on it by his comments to say that he would have let the side down if he didn’t do it.

Lol, here comes the snowflake Mr Sproke, on cue.

Still sobbing into his Drambuie that the world has been so mean to poor old Davey, despite never being seen in the cricket forum before Cape Town

Almost as bad as murder..

I mean, honestly. Cricket fans can be quite over the top about this stuff, they stuffed up, and for 2/3 of them they didn’t have a history. Those guys deserve the chance to redeem themselves.

All three deserve the chance to redeem themselves.

In state cricket

That’s what I don’t get about Mitch Marsh being named Vice Captain.

He’s a bloke who isn’t a walk up start in the side, has a bog average record and yet was elevated to the role of Vice Captain.

Was he elevated back to Vice Captain for this Test when he got the nod?

JL’s nepotism strikes again.

Yep, no probs with redemption but they've still got a long way to go, especially crocodile tears Davey.

Honestly, with Warner, instigating the tampering is the straw that broke the camels back. Even before this incident, the conversation was about how isolated he'd become in the dressing room and how toxic he was to the team culture. If Australia are smart, he'll never play for the side again...not because of the tampering itself, but because of who he is as a person.

He's Australia's less talented version of Kevin Pietersen.

Sounded to me like he said a lot of cliched stuff he thought the public wanted to hear.

" I've learnt to love myself", etc, etc.

Yep. A load of crap. Even came out about the positives he found in this. You got caught cheating. Cop the penalty and try and play your way back.

He came across as a different sort of dickhead to Warner. Still a dickhead though.

The penalties for these blokes seem harsh, and the over reactions even moreso. No need for this sort of bullshit on top.
