Bye bye Bell. Brilliant bowling from Southee. Leg before again. As I said after day one, scoreboard pressure does funny things in test matches.

Boult to Bairstow - looks out to me. He's a goner. How was not given out first up.

That is some seriously bad umpiring from Tucker not to give that out. Smacking middle and off halfway up.

BTW, bad pitch my backside. Williamson and Fulton played exceptionally diligently and straight, and the Poms bowled ridiculously wide of the off stump on day 1.

What I thought on that leg before was it was fuller than the one that got Trott, it straightened just like that one did, he wasn't far forward, it couldn't be anything other than out. Only a bad umpire doesn't give that out first up.

It was as plumb as you will get, can't believe first Tucker didn't give it and the Kiwi's had to even think about refering it.

New Zealand carving up, quality bowling. These three should be persisted with in England, they will carve up in swinging conditions

Dumb innings from Broad with 43 runs short of the follow on.

New Zealand have had roughly a full day in the field, to be honest I'm not sure they should even bother with the follow on anyway. I'd rather see them smash a quick 250 odd and give themselves a day and a half to to bowl them out with the draw more or less secure.

If we enforce it England will stonewall our tired bowlers

Also I don't think members of the England team are smoking Rothfields like Beefy back in 1984. So the Kiwis will need to keep it up
