Is the ground easily accessible from the CBD like the WACA is?

The new stadium is on my train line so was easy for me to get in this morning, 3 stops from my station.

Transperth are running a shuttle train service from Perth station similar to the Olympic Park service for big events, a service every 5 minutes according to what I read.

They’re still building a pedestrian bridge across the river for anyone who wants to walk from the city side of the river but that’s not opening until March/April but I’d say a lot of punters who work in the city would prefer to catch the train here.

They can run trains from Fremantle, Joondalup with plans to extend the Thornlie line to meet the Mandurah (construction starting next year) so eventually the Stadium will be serviced by all of the rail line in Perth except the Midland line. East Perth station on the Midland line had a major upgrade and is probably a 10 minute walk away.

Helluva cricket ground this. Almost as good as the waca but without the Fremantle doctor.

Not as good as Gloucester park though where Ashley Mallet took 400 wickets in a match once during world series cricket.
Nowhere to leave your horse either, back in 1962 when I was lighting up the shield Competition me and Les Favell rode and parked them at every ground.

Gee the collective sigh of relief from the Aussie sheds when the mighty Chris Woakes wasn't named must have been heard at Rottnest Island.

Helluva World XI cricketer
Yep so much so that I read they've left out the champion White, and are batting Stoinis at 3 and The Show at 6?

Fresh thinking there, but a top 6 more likely to inspire mirth than respect/fear

Good to see England taking this dead rubber seriously by bringing in their superstars Willey and Ball.

Well they can safely try things without Chris Woakes, Destroyer of Worlds to worry about
