Just looking at the pitch on TV and you can see the grass has burned off and it's starting to crack. Bloody great test pitch. Just a shame we look like we're going to miss out on batting on it when it was great for batting. Big big task ahead.

I don't think there has been any really bad Test pitches this series. It's just that the local side is playing like crap, and the locals are used to winning. England has made it look pretty easy. They've scored quickly on flat decks, or adapted their style of play when it's being difficult for the most part. They've bowled in the right areas at the right times on the right pitches. There is a lack of thought on the part of our players to adapt to conditions and situations. Alternatively, they are thinking too much about it. They are catastrophising or sensationalising every seaming ball, every good bouncer, every swinging ball or every good shot. That's what confidence does to you.

even someone like Dean Jones wouldn't be bad as a fielding coach, one of the first few players regarded very highly for his fielding alongside Mark Waugh.

Strauss is geniused, fancy having a deep backward square leg when you lead by 350 and an innings.

Bob Simpson was our first full time coach and he did it all on his own,

now we have specialist batting, bowling, spin bowling and fielding coaches and we really are no better off for it

some would argue that we are 10 times worse off now because of all these coaches.

Turn is not everything for a spinner. Flight, drift and building pressure from both ends is probably 90% of it. We haven't done that.

That's pathetic.... Time for the basics again guys...

Cricinfo sums it up perfectly:

oh no, that's hideous. Watson has done it again. Hughes worked to midwicket for what should have been a long single, Watson turned and hared back for a second that was never there. Hughes sent him back but Watson had no chance as the throw came gently in and Prior took off the bails. Complete waste, he'd been batting so well.

Watson is the biggest dunce between the wickets I've ever seen

AGAIN, Watson with stupid calls, trying to pinch runs that aren't there and throwing away his wicket when we can least afford him to do so.

AGAIN after making a decent start

AGAIN proving he cannot concentrate for more than 60-90 minutes at the crease, and yet there are people suggesting he is a decent opener.

This idiot is f**king annoying more than anything. Why can't he concentrate, why can't he communicate. WHY!

Dumbest dumb merkin that was ever a dumb merkin if ever i've seen a dumb merkin
