Nah mate not defending him at all but how the f**k can you call him a dog and not call Prior a dog with his deliberate elbow to the head. Oh is it because you have 2 sets of rules

PS you haven't answered my question when you asked me to suck your dick I asked if you would like that you winging fagon ?
mate chill...
shit happens on the field.. tackles go wrong .. thats not the point..
the thing is prior was the first to apologise to thurston... even went into the change rooms after the match to say sorry and check on his health..
inglis didnt make any attempt or show any remorse for the condition of young.. thats the point.. and hence a dog act, not the tackle itself

Mr Red I accept that GI should and will be suspended. I object to him being called a dog. I believe he should have apologised and I am disappointed that
he hasn't doesn't make him a dog.

No doubt it's a tough game and no place for the faint hearted. But it really has nothing to do with this 'in my day' crap. In my day high shots were illegal, they were also illegal in my dad's day.

People have been talking about cleaning up the game for as long as I remember. I recall in the 60s and 70s commentators saying that we'd lose fans and mums wouldn't let their sons play the game if head shots weren't brought into check. There were crack downs on spear tackles and coathangers... and head high tackles too.

The toughest players knew how to hurt an opponent legally, and that remains the same today. So let's get real. Hitting a bloke high has nothing to with toughness, and stamping it out has nothing to do any generational shift.

The only difference today is that players don't get away with it as much anymore. More TV angles, more media coverage, more sponsorship concerns, and more about the changing culture of the game to appeal to families etc. But it was always illegal.

Having said that, I love a good shoulder charge. But some players just have to go that one step further and try to take off an opponent's head. Unfortunately shoulder charges will probably be made illegal because of idiots like Inglis.

f**ken oath, to quote Johnny Lewis getting in Blocker Roach's ear on a Kangaroo tour "the tough ones know they're tough". Inglis is a dog, Prior is more a dope than a dog. Evidence is in the fact he didn't show remorse, something Prior (and even that midget Luke) did.

Mate if the players are calling it a dog act I'm sure they are calling Prior's deliberate elbow to the head a dog act even though he apologised

I would rather a Prior elbow/forearm to the side of the head than an Inglis upper arm/shoulder to my face anyway.

Dean Young is one tough hombre. That Inglis high shot would've killed these key board warriors stumbling in here from LOL@5(o)uff$!

i am referring to the fact that he didnt apologise is a dog act.. thats what the players would be saying..
the fact that prior did apologise suggests to me that the players would respect this from prior, even though they would at the time been pissed off with the tackle..

I do not believe that Matt Prior nor Greg Inglis set out to hit the head. They were both looking for big ball and all shoulder charges. The problem is these can go very wrong and be extremely dangerous. All 'shoulder' charges seem to be shoulder with forearm elbow pushing out.
Greg Inglis is a wonderful marque player and like many is very aggressive generally in play. That's what makes him so strong as well as his shear imposing size. So I am not a Dragons fan seeking to label him. I do think that he will be referred straight to judiciary and may even miss some or all of the finals. That was a terrible shot gone wrong.
Good luck to Souths in the finals (I don't think we are a chance now) as they do have a very good team this year.

rasiant I agree with most off what you have said and respect you for not labelling GI a dog like 72gav , stg666 and fire to name a few.

The only thing I disagree with you on mate is that i would be surprised
if Inglis misses some or any of the finals and this is why

Because Inglis has never been suspended before he automatically gets a 25% discount and if he pleads guilty he gets another 25% discount

Mr Red as I have said before I agree with you that it's poor form IF GI didn't
check on or apologise to Young. Do we know for sure he didn't ?

What I am trying to say is that even though Prior apologised for elbowing
Thurston in the head I bet Thurston still thought it was to quote you a
'dog act '

U guys have a red and white eyes. As a manly supporter with Plenty of our own problems, u r kidding if u think that was in the same category as prior. Prior raised his elbow flush on jt. Inglis was committed to the shoulder charge.g. I didn't even see the contact. Prior was pre meditated. Unless u outlaw shoulder charges bad luck. Stop blaming incidents for ur teams crap performances and man up. U have players playing half hearted like my team.

well said footy watch thats the point I am trying to get across is that Prior's
was pre meditated where as Gi's was careless.

But because GI allegedly didn't apologise it was more of a dog act than Prior's
and I repeat even though Prior's appeared pre meditated

Shocking night all round. Started badly then continually got worse. I thought the Inglis/Young incident would fire us up, but no, back to just getting worse.

........YES. I thought or wished for same thing, instead we went South so to speak. I hate Souths and starting to see a bunch of serial offenders in cheap shots. Burgess, Luke, Crocker and Inglis........
