Andrew Fifita tells junior rugby league referee: ‘I’ll smash you’

There was nothing in that article other than Fifita saying that he was innocent.

Hardly damming evidence, if anything he confirms he threatened to smash the guys phone.

And then went on to pull the old "depression" card.

He didn't pull the depression card at all.

Also what has been made clear is the ref made a false report to the Penrith rugby league
No video footage - he claimed he had
No physical threat against him -he claimed there was

Fifita is not saying there was no incident
Has people from the other team backing his story too.

Just goes to show they are better off not giving their time to junior league.

Maybe run classes for people showing them how to shoot a video with a mobile phone instead.

Can you point out where the ref, not the Daily Telegraph, claimed he had video?

And how did you determine that there was threat made?

Also Fifita is quoted saying that he believes a report made by someone is favorable. We don't know it's content, so it's impossible to comment on.

Good point.

The Telecrap probably heard that he pulled his phone out so just wrote that to further sweeten the story.

They don't have to write the truth - just need to make up whatever they want. That's a well established fact.

Point out where he has played the race card.

Gorman has said he has been given eye witness accounts that back up a fifitas version.

He doesn't have to provide evidence, his accused does. It's innocent until proven guilty. So far these accusations have caused Andrew harm in terms of reputation and his career and if they are proven to be false or not true beyond reasonable doubt, these referees could find themselves in deep shit.

This isn't a legal case.

The referee has provided his version of events(evidence if you will)

Nothing presented in that article presents anymore information that somehow makes it seem "false"

It becomes a legal case of Fifita files for defamation which is what my initial post discussed. A ref giving his side of the story is not evidence, it's testimony. So far this refs accusation have in fact caused Fifita harm and he does have a case against him if he wishes to pursue it.

If the ref has bullshitted then it will be a legal case

There isn't anything yet to suggest this is the case.

So let's not crucify someone before we know the story.

And crucifying an unknown addresses that balance how????

My point is is that no one should be crucified until the full facts are known.

Unfortunately the way the media are these days, and the idiots who just look for anything that can remotely be turned into a controversy, it will never happen.

That's my point also.
