Has our club, from top to bottom, ever been in a worse position? Seriously, not trying to be overly dramatic but from the front office through the playing group and all the way down to the supporters being split and turning against eachother.

Perhaps I've missed the discussion but are Peats words of "it's not just the board that let me down, there were others as well" , is that screaming out for an answer of who else let him and I'm assuming (maybe incorrectly) the rest of the club down?

I described the board situation and factions to a friend as it being like a cancer in the club. You may control it for a while but it's more often than not, it's going to return. (No offense meant to anyone who has battled or seen anyone close to them fight cancer, it's just an analogy).

It's a long way back from here and worst of all is that the crap hasn't finished hitting the fan yet.

Yeh, well I think we have. Despite all of this shit, we have the core of a decent squad for 2017, a coach who is effective and seemingly a great bloke.

2016 is obviously FUBAR now. If the factional idiocy continues to dominate the administration we are still f**ked, but with a kick in the right direction from the NRL (i.e. limiting the power of these f**kheads) we might have a chance next year.

we have BA and currently 6th on the ladder so we have form and a decent coach

we could go to shit from here if we lose points and Norman but I will still be a fan and front up every week to watch and support them because I have done it since I was a kid living in Isabella St North Parramatta

its what I do

To me, Peats saying other people at the eels let him down makes me think the coach.

Quite possibly, but if that simply means that the coach decided that Peats was asking more for 2017 onwards than we could justify (given the cover we seem to have)......well those are decisions you have to make....you get some wrong, you get some right.
