Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

I can tell you right now that they won't sack Flano unless real proven coaching quality is available as his replacement. Bellamy, McGuire, Robinson, Bennet, Toovey. That sort of level.

Is Lyall talking to these guys? Are they talking back?

All I can say is that Lyall knows what it takes to win.

We should have gone hard for Brown.

It'll be interesting to see what he does at the Knights. Get him to break his last year when Flanno comes off contract and sign him if he's been doing a good job there.

Spoke to a coach from lower grades today. He was absolutely desperate for the next coach(es) of the sharks to be the Walker brothers. He's been studying their game plan and is adamant they have the point of difference to really shake the comp up.

Would anyone take that gamble? Would be interesting to see their style translated to the Nrl

No way in the world anyone in the NRL has the stones to hire the Walkers. Clubs are far too risk averse. Sharks don't have the players to play that style either.

Yeah probably true. Wish someone would though. We need a shake up from the rigid structures that the majority of the teams play.

Reality is we have some aging forwards that wont be getting any younger next year, we really need to boost up our forwards roster for next year, there will be shit loads of space for us to have a crack too.

Flanno can get us there imo. Look what he's done in such a short space i.e one off season. I'll hang my nuts out and say he will have a successful coaching career wherever he goes.

After watching the cows last night, gee what could of been if Sharks had of beaten Manly. I'm certain they would of made the GF.
Doubtful a coach can win a premiership when he can't get them up for one of the most important games and then get flogged in a semi

Well belamy couldn't get storm up after a week off and with the home ground advantage , they got belted.

Maybe the cows are just white hot ATM

Agree wholeheartedly. The structures are often quite boring. Watching our team try to run the block down our left edge is usually painful. It seems to be done becasue that's what everyone else does not because it is in any way effective.

The difference with the Cows this year is that it is not all about Thurston. Morgan is a real threat as a running 5/8, Coote is an extra ballplayer and has exceptional position play, Granville is a threat from DH and their pack is doing the job.
Previously, too much relied on Thurston. He now has a lot more freedom.

Spot on.

I'm going for the Cowboys - my wife and one my boys are big fans, but also just glad Manly, Melbourne and Roosters missed out!!

Id love to get the coaches thoughts on last nights game.
Our performance against the cows was like playing a new born baby on "rugby league live" on playstation, whereas Brisbane were outstanding

So Cowboys win a fairytale after South's last year. Whens it our turn? When this bullshit culture of always next year disappears and the club get coaching staff who have actually won something
