If its no big deal then let the f**king AFL move their game to Thursday

It isn't up to the AFL to move their game, the AFL already have signed a contract with ANZ to play the 'blockbuster' Sydney games at ANZ. There is a solution, the NRL could always use the SFS as a one off. The game won't attract more than 40K and the SFS holds that. The AFL will get more than 40K especially as predicted the game is a top 3 clash, possibly a top 2 clash

Define a blockbuster. Canterbury are contracted to play four times more games. AFL can f*ck off.

There is no such thing as a blockbuster AFL game in NSW.

One that will get 40K plus I would say is a definite blockbuster. Be serious will the Dogs/Penrith get 40K on a Friday night. It might AT BEST get 25K, and I am being very generous there. The NRL should do a better job at booking the ground, it really is that simple- this should have been done 4 months ago. There should not have been a clash, the game should have booked out the stadium every Friday night for the whole season.

I just don't get how the NRL rolled over on this one.

They were selling friggin tickets for the Dogs game as a Friday nighter at ANZ.

Surely that's where it ends. The AFL should have been forced to play Sat night or move the game to the SCG.

John Gibbs and the 2UE crew were trying their best to get to the bottom of this situation last night on Sports Today but nobody was talking.

You would have to assume the deal that they have with ANZ committs them to roll over.

Great to see the tax payers money being put into the SCG when the tenants move their big games to Homebush anyway.

Same with MMM. I have a ticket for this game if we had admin with balls this wouldn't happen. Same venue but the Thurs night is the only acceptable outcome.

anyone and everyone who bought a ticket should take legal action against ANZ Stadium

What a suprise, the NRL taking it up the backside from AFL. The ARLC are weak....they should tell the AFL to get effed

I didn't realise the Bulldogs didn't have a contract with ANZ stadium, and instead just turned up every 2 weeks or so hoping that nothing was on so they could have a game....

Both codes have a contract with the venue you f**king ponce.

The Bulldogs booked the venue first for this date, and their game being on this date in no way WHATSOEVER stops the AFL from fulfilling their contractual obligations to host the Swans's round 25 clash at ANZ stadium. They simply have to choose a day that isn't already booked. Either Saturday afternoon, or the Thursday evening (AFL have been playing on thursdays for longer than the NRL)

Boyle's first test and utterly failed.

Let's hear the compensation details. Please tell me that the NRL and Dogs are being compensated....

Weak as piss from the NRL...

And no doubts they want to move towards centralised stadium policy....

.

just make sure ANZ is not one of the stadiums

it's time the NRL abandoned it completely and turned it into a white Elephant
