Who else uses it 1-2 times a week for 30 weeks a year?

How many corporates Stadium members Would they lose without these guaranteed games?

Throw in SOO and Finals there has to be a reason why RL gets paid to play there.

$100k a game or something it is so:

10 Bulldogs games
10 Souths games
2 Parra
4 Tigers (2014)

26 games. $2.6m they pay to RL. How much would they make then??

So yeah they need us more

So why do they need us more than them?

You say RL provides more income. That is true. But RL has nowhere else to go. This is the fact.

I would suggest the needs are relative to each other.

ANZ needs tenants, RL needs venues. In this instance ANZ holds the cards.... they have tenants either way.

Smith MUST make sure there are repercussions for this and move games from ANZ!

f**k them

And play them where? Other than the SFS there's nowhere else to go. It's not like we have many alternatives, the next best option is Parramatta stadium and that certainly won't cut it.

SCG when it's full capacity is finished

sure it's an oval but it served RL for many years and ANZ need to be given the arse for being merkins

Just was reading on the Macarthur Chronicle facebook page that Campbelltown Stadium could be used to play this game as the bulldogs didn't want the game moved to Penrith.

Campbelltown is an alright ground. A lot closer to the action then ANZ

Watching footy at the scg is rubbish. Its so far from the action. It would be like jumping back 50years. Just to appease some pissed off dogs supporters

no it's to piss off ANZ and make them realise who their main tenant is

ANZ need NRL games or they'll go arse up

we don't need them

they need to be reminded of that instead of catering to Victorians

Didn't think of the SCG tbh

In the future maybe we can bring back a match of the day style game and play it at the SCG or the SFS and have ANZ miss out on some of the big matches that are expected to fill between 30-40k

Sydney really needs to find room for a big, rectangle only stadium in the west though. Moving home games to the SCG/SFS for teams like Parra, Dogs, Wests won't be great for their crowds.

Simple solution. Play the game at the giants home ground. Everyone who goes will get the chance to sit in a brand new orange seat.

We are talking Origin, GF & Prelim finals at the most.

SCG will hold 50k when finished. put some temporary seating to square it off add an extra 10k (remember ANZ full only has 37k GA anyway) .The view would be no worse the right at the top of ANZ. The rest will fit in Allianz

Build an actual RL stadium west to be the 2nd staduim. Then we will see if ANZ find more tennants certainly wont for 30 odd weeks. Souths & Bulldogs should always have priority.

The problem with a "match of the day" at the SCG/SFS is that it doesn't "play well" with individual clubs memberships. Eels fans argue over moving home games a handful of km's from Parra to Homebush. Imagine if they'd have to move "home games" all the way to the eastern suburbs.

Not that they'd feature in match of the day's at present. :(

actually, this may be a good idea afterall. Didn't the Dogs play a few seasons there around a decade ago? With the upgrade the stadium got, it fits 25,000 people. Could work?

Play it in Perth, we'll get 20,000 and it will go another step towards meeting the promise the NRL made to give us three games this year.
