RIP Artie,

dad reckoned he was the best player he'd ever seen. given who dad knew and who he saw, i'll take that as good enough

I am in the USA at the moment and just heard the news. I was stunned to hear of his death. Artie was the sort of guy I thought would go on forever.

Arthur RIP

Was lucky enough to see him in his prime win a couple of comps at the Roosters mid 70's, with him fairfax & Schubert they rated highly for Rexs Sevens big league.

Never was a big fan of him, but he was a Qld legend and didn't give a crap about politically correct when voicing his opinions, so he deserves great respect!

RIP Artie

He is the best prop to play the game BY FAR. He was so naturally gifted, he was several classes above and even guys like Lazarus and Webcke aren't in his league. Great second phase player and extremely difficult to tackle as well as being surprisingly quick.

RIP

Legend of the game and the indigenous community, but overrated in terms of being a legend in origin having only played 3 games.

You are a f**kwit of the highest order.

No idea about the history of the game as well.

He played one origin and his presence in that game was hugely significant in a lot of ways.
