This is to do with evolution. Apes have no sense of embarrassment, thus the need to have their genitalia camouflaged with body hair is not a neccessity.
Humans however have many varying emotions and are more self conscious about their image. Their genitalia is also something they wish to conceal, thus explaining the hair growth in that region.

Hair growth is stimulated by electromagnetic pulses that are sent from the brain to every area of the body.

Madunit:
Why do men as they grow older grow hair in their ears, nose, and grow wild-arse eyebrows?

Well to be honest with you, its not hair. Its actually potatoes growing inside their heads. With all the shit that builds up inside a males head over a long period of time, the amount of fertiliser becomes extremely high.
Once this high level of fertiliser is obtained, the potato (aka the brain) starts to sprout and get growth on it, which the head orifices cannot contain.

Why does it appear that all the hair from their head seems to migrate south - not only stopping on their eyebrows, ears and nose, but seemingly slips down the back of their head and plants itself on their neck and back?

Hair needs to be very close to the brain. You do the maths ;-)

I have another question is Chris Walkers homosexuality a condition he was born with or did he contract it during his stint at the Broncos?
