I think 35/40 k for England V Somoa would be an incredible crowd. 90% of English fans wouldn't know a single Samoan player and would think the game is going to be a walk over unaware how strong Samoa actually is.

Whilst I agree, in the case of Samoa, the last few times they've actually played decent opposition in Australia, they have sold out venues or gone close.I think the 90% who ‘wouldn’t know a Samoan player’ is a plus. It’s one of the major problems of International rugby league.
In Australia, in terms of Tests, apart from lack of promotion, NRL interference, derision by media and fair weather League fans it’s because fans see these players all the time in the NRL.
There’s no sense that of mystery of visiting teams. This should come close to a sellout and hopefully if it’s really close it means Samoa can do Tours like the Kangaroos, Kiwi’s and Poms..
WIN has an on paper capacity of 22,000 but in reality I’ve never seen it hit 20,000. I suspect that it may be held back by the police from getting too crowded, as happened at Jubilee.Whilst I agree, in the case of Samoa, the last few times they've actually played decent opposition in Australia, they have sold out venues or gone close.
2018 V Tonga : 17,802 @ Campbelltown
2017 V Australia : 13,473 @ Darwin
2017 V England :18,271 @ Campbelltown
2014 V Australia : 18,456 @ Wollongong
Darwin & Campbelltown were capacity (CSS has a max capacity of 17.5K these days), Wollongong was over 80% capacity.
Just goes to show even with how much we shoot ourselves in the foot and how much visibility there is of the players in these Pacific teams, they still can draw.
I know I'm send us off topic, but imagine a 4 Nations Series of Australia, Samoa, Tonga & NZ played in Australia & NZ.
You could easily average 20K+ per game in the tournament and if a bit of effort was put behind it, possibly drive that closer to 30K.

yeh you've always got to take such terms with a pinch of salt!I'd be guessing but maybe 38Kish... could be higher, though depends on the organisers interpretation of 'limited availability'
Kaiser chiefs to play opening game. Great choice, these guys rock. One of the best live gigs I’ve ever been to when I saw them in Perth.
Interesting… When and how did he tell you this? Thanks
