Balmain Ryde-Eastwood's State Cup players quizzed on gang rape claim

This player should be disciplined by their club for bringing the game into disrepute through their behaviour, and if a charge is laid they should be suspended until the hearing, and if a charge is proven at the hearing they should be sacked. Simple.

For people worried about false accusations against footy players because of their public profile, then the answer is simply that they should be a bit more choosy about where they stick their dicks...

So you suggest the average simple footy player must accurately assess the risk of a "false accuser" whilst at the same time, being friendly and also gauging the potential opportunity for "relations" with her ?

No-one has been accused. The police are investigating an alleged rape, the player is just one of 'several people' who are being looked at.

What a change in stories - From NRL Gang Rape to 1 lower grade player of several people being questioned. I'm always quick to stick it to the media when they offer sh*t like this but it seems there's some people on here who are just as bad.

I personally think the game has done enough for these blokes. Having said that, these are younger blokes in NSW Cup who may not have had the chance to be educated on this stuff.

I guess this post means you're educated on "this stuff" ??

Maybe one day when you are you will stop annoying people

Well the media are always quick to sensationalise it using the NRL as its selling point.

Now IF any player, lower grade or NRL, is Charged, they should be stood down until their hearing and if it goes on and on the club would need to decide if they keep them on their books for the good of the game and the reputation of its club and sponsors. Stick innocent until proven guilty, most in here had Bird hung drawn and quartered and he STILL hasn't had his day in court.

Not that he isn't an arsehole! But at this stage still not Guilty!

Clubs have to stop farkin about with these incidents. Get serious no matter who they are and the other players will soon think rwice before they engage in stupidity, illegal or just plain ridiculous behavior. By now players should know that skanky chicks will say anything to get a name for themselves and part teh player/club with some cash.

I'm quick to offer a simple solution to what is a perennial problem for our code.

It doesn't really matter whether "the behaviour" is all one on person's part or another. The reality is nearly always a bit of both, otherwise there wouldn't be an allegation.

But are you disagreeing that if league players were more choosy about where they put their dicks that we'd eventually see less headlines putting our game down?

Are you disagreeing that if the game takes responsibility for educating players from an early stage we'd eventually see less headlines putting our game down?

Are you disagreeing that if more players were reprimanded by their clubs/employers for bringing the game into disrepute (like many of us would be reprimanded if our leisure time behaviour brought our employers names in the papers or into disrepute) that we'd eventually see less headlines putting our game down?

While people wait to point fingers at the woman, or the media, there are simple things our game could be doing to better look after it's public image.
Quite the moral crusader arent you?

I'd say it matters a great deal whos part the ''behaviour'' is attributed to....but do carry on generalising, finger waging etc

Simple solution..

No mention of the Dogs in the initial post,Is it a case of the word rape and you assume people mean the Dogs?
I said initial poster not initial post. See below:
Just had a look...Bulldogs played Canberra at Meakin Park which is 30 minutes away from the Central Coast

EDIT: Bulldogs played Canberra
Thank you and goodnight.
