Got some red angus pilsners for the game tonight.

Have to say i am impressed with it. A longer after taste than the squire pilsner although would like a slightly more bitter pilsner to try.

Montieth pilsner be worth a shot?

Red Angus is an excellent beer. Montieths Pilsener is alright, worth a crack, but for me isn't in the same street as Red Angus.

Thanks for bumping the thread - reminded me it's about the right temperature tonight to get stuck into a Black Sheep Ale that's been on my kitchen bench - a favourite of mine from a stint living in Yorkshire.

Given it was a rubbish day preparing for Penfolds Day tomorrow, I grabbed some beers to suit the inclement weather...Vale Dark, Lord Nelson Old Admiral Dark ale, St Ambrois oatmeal stout and Brooklyn Brown...

Vale Dark was awful, thin and weak. Tasted like molasses and water
Lord Nelson is very nice, lots of toffee

Guys don't hate me, but I'm on the Corona's. It's a stinker here on the Gold Coast, so I need something really cold to slam down quick. Plus my pub has Donavon Frankenreiter playing tonight, and the gig is sponsored by Corona, so I need to get some practice in...

Make sure the label is fashionably facing outwards lol.

Seriously dude we're all guilty of drinking shit, especially when it's free. I subjected myself to some Blonde beer I don't care to remember at a wedding a few weeks ago. The couple weren't drinkers and their choice in beer and wine reflected this.

Down to the home brew store this arvo.

Decided to go with Thomas Cooper's Wheat Beer kit. The adjunct has a nice blend of wheat malt and I got a wheat specific yeast to enhance the flavour. Another addition I'm making is some Hellertau Hops for aromas and some small additional flavour. All in all it should be a nice brew. I'm just worried about the possibility of the beer being watery and not maintaining a strong head.

Only problem is I'm out of bottles and space, but I just want to brew more. You've got no idea how nice it makes the laundry smell. I'll have to step up to kegging sooner rather than later.

Anyone want any beers to drink?

I went through a phase where all I ever drank was Draught, kinda off it now. And if you think the VB you get down south is bad, wait till you get a whiff of the shit they brew at Yatala, wretched stuff
