Benji mentions loyalty when it suits his line of argument, however, there is an equally good retort- what about the loyalty WT showed to a young Benji when he had those series of bad injuries for a few seasons in a row. WT did not discard him, they kept by him and supported him and his return to the game. Loyalty is a 2 way street but there comes a time when business heads have to prevail and to be fair to Benji he does make reference to that.

It is part of the negotiation and one could make the observation some at the WTs would not be so brave in dealing with Marshall had not been for the arrival of the two young halves from the Balmain juniors.

To be honest, those two halves (Brooks and Moses) have a long way too go before anyone will know if they are up to NRL standard.

As I said in another thread, Brooks looks good in attack but his defence against U20s is terrible. I haven't seen Moses play.

Fortunately the Club is a good environment to learn with Payten and Fletcher as teachers. The good thing is defence can be taught. Vision, organizational ability and toughness combined with excellent pace cannot.

Agreed, but he needs to be ready for 1st grade before he is promoted; if he shown up as weak defender in 1st grade, it could do his possible career untold damage.

Maybe, maybe not. Benji hasn't ever been a good tackler and it seems to have done him no harm. After watching his cry baby whinge on the footy show last night I hope we p!ss him off as soon as we can.

His PR splurge in the last few weeks has been utterly pathetic.
He talks the talks better than anyone, and yet on the weekend he was throwing cutout passes in the mud, and refusing to take on the line - as per f**king usual.
Jog on.

My view too.

Was he on The Footy Show again? What did he say now?

Nothing wrong with what he said on the footy show or how he played last week. He was bloody good last week!

Lots of muppets crucifying him for stating that he will only play for the tigers because he thinks it would be disrespectful to the fans to do anything else.

Of course these same muppets don't even watch the Tigers play so you have to learn to take their opinions (bullshit) with a grain of salt.

He was quite decent last week, aside from that ridiculous pass. The issue is you want more than decent at the $800K Tauber is reportedly demanding.

I still don't understand what all the fuss is about, given he is contracted until 2015. Anyone who thinks we should sign him beyond that right now can't be watching the same game as I am.

I think we could sign him beyond that but at a reduced rate. I don't get what the drama is all about either.

Perhaps we should sign him on an incentive contract. Dock his pay everytime he:

Fails to find touch from a penalty
Throws a forward pass
Throws a pass into the grandstand
Puts up a bomb that goes backwards

Sorry, I love the guy. I've got three or four jerseys in the cupboard with his number on the back. He's given me so many good memories over the years and is the most exciting player I've watched in the game.

But he's done. Finished. No zip or spark anymore. He's lost everything that made him one of the hardest players to handle in the game. All that's left are his stupid errors, which he makes week after week, month after month, year after year.

It's time to part ways and move on.

I don't think he is done at all, there is still plenty of value and potential there but he was bad tonight. In fact, so was sironen again. We need a halfback who controls the game to let benji play his natural game which he hasn't been able to for the last two years.

Basically said that rugby is an option whilst in the same breath whinging that the club has backed out of a verbal contract he had with Humphries but he isn't thinking about it and is only concentrating on footy and it's up to him to show the club what they will miss out by not signing him and they are basically not being loyal by not meeting his demands..

Without Marshall our side would be pretty ordinary. Benji and Farah lifted in the second half even though our forwards never got on top. This to me is the underlying issue.

Potter needs to look at more game time for BMM. When he came on the side went forward on the back of his charges. He rattled a couple of the Shark forwards with his tackles and the reaction from the Shark section when he ran the ball was noticeable. BMM is on the verge of being a top forward. Patience is necessary with him due to his background.

Wasn't BMM one of the guys with Pettybourne & Thompson who was rumoured to be told to look elsewhere next year? If so, that has worked because he has lifted.

I think they would be better off with Anasta at 7 now, allowing Marshall to push a little wider and giving Farah and Fulton both a break from also being 1st receiver.

Might do Siro and the Tigers the world of good to unite with Brooks again.
