He was pretty damn salty in the press conference, but not so much about the Golden Point imo - just bitter about the loss. It shone through in everything he said. "It's not always about winning or losing" (when I lose).
The problem with golden point is that too much of an advantage comes from the flip of a coin.
Extra time in finals games. A draw is a valid result for regular season games. IMO.
The Broncos won't win it next year. That's the most epic final minute collapse ever. In a GF no less. And I can't see them recovering within a year.
Ben Hunt may even disappear. Change his identity and rebuild his life elsewhere. Like the movie Gone Girl.
if they are so arsey why has Thurston won like 6 games this year from field goals?
he even kicked two in the round 4 clash.
they aren't arsey at all, they take skill. and Bennett is just whinging. lol @ replaying the game next week...
I don't agree with the way we approached the game in the 2nd half but he does have a point about golden point, it's okay for regular season games to be decided like that (they have a similar rule in the NHL regarding shootouts, in the finals there are no shootouts).. but this was a grand final
surely you want the best team to win based on merit not whoever can kick the first field goal
What the hell does butthurt even mean?
Damn, you spoiled it for me
Did Bennett come out with the same bitterness over GP when the Bronx won a game that way this season?
I have no problem with it.
If Ben Hunt doesn't drop the ball the broncos get just as much of an opportunity to have their shot(s).
Only feels so 'unfair' because it was over after 30 seconds due to the Broncos denying themselves an opportunity.
You know reporters ask questions like this when you lose Grand Finals? When answering the question he made specific note about not wanting it to come across as him talking down the Cowboys.
