And if you actually read my posts, I said up to 2010 he deserves the praise. But, in my opinion, to suggest he is the man to take the club from 2020 into the future is flawed thinking. I'm not saying he is a failure as a coach or has never been a good coach. I'm saying he is not the solution for us moving forward based solely on the fact he won us a premiership in 2010.
And as I've said in almost every post, to me, the minor premiership means absolutely nothing if you don't follow it up with a premiership. Seriously, if Melbourne wins on the weekend, do you think the Roosters go around saying "we don't care, we won the Minor Premiership"? Nobody remembers the Minor Premiers - they only remember the Premiers.
When teams start the year, every year, their goal is to win the Premiership. It's not to appear in the Finals, it's not win the Minor Premiership, it's not to win a world cup - hell it's not even to appear in the grand final. It's to win it. So to me, sprouting out that he won us 2 minor premierships and a world cup have no bearing on the argument.
Let me ask you this - why do you think Broncos are moving him on? Surely if he was that valuable, they'd be keeping him on?
