Nah, i've always picked SJ for a 'front of the class' type guy, just inconsistent and a little full of himself sometimes

.

He seems like a decent sort of fellow - never done what he should on the pitch, and his manner and pretty boy looks make him a target...

He actually ran to the line a bit, must have been fired up!

I guess players should be given an opportunity to redeem themselves. However all their perks of seniority and incumbancy are gone. They should now be on the bottom rung and earn their spot on form alone. Reputations are shot.

These 5 (Hurrells most likely goneburger so wont include him) will probably be put in front of the player group and management and made to make a case as to why they should be perservered with. But sponsors are involved here as well. Its serious.

Be interesting to see how it all plays out. Its not like they are all like Todd Carney or Mitchell Pearce and are repeat offenders. How many chances did those 2 get.

Pretty sure Jim Doyle has been round long enough to know a good man from a bad man and he will probably make the right call on each individual. Some of them need some serious help with their coping mechanisms though.

Wholly agree with that comment. Make a mistake once, is human, make a mistake twice is stupid. Really, this is Manu's first offfield mistake we know about and he has paid dearly for it now. His years of service to the club need to be taken into account.

Mutts is not a bad guy and he too hasn't done bad off the field till now.

These guys so far, have not come out blaming someone else and are taking their medicine (pun intended) and the consequences. Might be a good example for a lot of people in the end.

Heard a couple of reports that at the end of the half Hoffman, Johnson and Luke stopped before the players went into the tunnel and patted each warriors player on the back, clapped them off and were talking to each of them.

In other words, unity.

Yeah Hoffman started it right away as the team left the field. As soon as Johnson got to him he joined in too.

That exit from half time was actually my favourite part of the game. Really made Hoffman look like a leader (I don't remember Mannering doing anything like that), and made it obvious the team had united and energised from the Storm loss and the other off-field drama.

When I saw that, I knew they had come to win. The best public showing of team unity and leadership I've seen from the Warriors for a long time.

Hoff did something similar when they got on the field too, don't think he usually claps the guys on
Something felt very different that's for sure, pride in the jersey

Hopefully none of them are ditched and yet this incident and the Melbourne loss/St George win provide a watershed moment (week) for turning around the culture of the club.

Best case scenario of course. Most important is the culture change - hope that this can be done without ditching these guys, but if not, send em packing. Doyle, you need to get this spot on.

Gotta be harsh I reckon, set the precedent.
If not sacks at least decent suspensions for the whole lot and loss of incumbency

We go soft here and nobody will learn a thing, thick enough as it is

I believe they all have to go, as much as it pains me to say so. NRL integrity unit will be in on this, sounds like Kearney and NZRL support the Warrior's actions, doubt these players will play for the Kiwis again given what happened in 2013. The Warriors have to come down hard, the whole NRL will be watching how we act on this, we have to set a precedent, two Souths players nearly lost their lives last year with this sort of stuff, they are no longer at Souths I believe.

If the club does't come down hard then we may well see sponsors start leaving us, so all the players must go, be they legends or rookies alike, Hurrell was already gone. My last word on this is that Manu is a fool, the man had it all: a legend of the game not just in New Zealand and the NRL, big salary, beautiful family, Icon in the community, won a major award within the NRL last year, idolised by fans, who didn't love those Manu runs, he will lose it all besides his family, his personal sponsors will drop him like hotcakes. I am extremely disappointed in him, he should of retired as an all-time Warriors Legend up there with Stacey and a job after footy at the club, now its all gone. Sorry rant over.

To all those people who said a few days ago that we had hit rock bottom and couldn't sink any further, in light of this afternoons news we managed to.

Add that to SJ's post match interview where he said they "won it for cappy" and you can see who is on the team train, and who ain't.

I have more respect for SJ now than I did last week, especially considering I would have picked (wrongly) that he would of been part of "the 6".
Why on earth would you be out late at night when you could be home shagging Kayla Cullen?

Manu really isn't smart. All he would have needed to do is a small post showing some attrition.
Instead we get the post below and Manu arguing with people in the comment.

So unprofessional.

I'm not keen on sacking these guys. Too much talent to waste there and in the end they've done something mildly irresponsible, not illegal. But I'd like to see them forced to work their way back into the side with an extended spell in NSW Cup and fined heavily, with the fines being proportional to their contracts, so Manu and Mutts will cop it more heavily being on bigger money.

Kept this crap under my hat all week...then leaked it on the other site minutes before It was announced on radio sport.

Been a hard week in fan land....there is actually more than this in the Warriors restricted access files which will never come out.

All you dedicated fans I get where you are coming from in arguing for your favorite players.

All I can say is that there are more errant people in the organization than good...however the Management structure are finally all powerful and don't give a shit about selling jerseys and protecting marquee talismanic longest serving Warriors.

Management have determined that the playing group is the problem of two decades of under performance.

The model has been tipped on its head...Doyle is not interested in sleeping Giants or potential.

The Warriors are about to be measured by corporate standards....high fliers that work night and day stuff...or get released.

Several heads will roll these coming years if the players think they can continue the status quo.

manu had everything
nrl loved him and was assured a job for life with them as an ambassador and a job with the warriors.
he will not be known as the guy who scored 10 tries in 10 seasons
instead he will be remembered as part of the selfish 6 who mixed energy drinks and medication

What a deadshit post, which follows on from a fair few deadshit posts from this guy.

It hurts me, because there's been fewer more dedicated fans of Manu than me.

But it's time to let him go.

Getting older, miles on the clock, no desire to be a leader, silly social media shit with younger players, better wingers on the way up, probably on a big wage etc.

Thanks for the great times but this absolute dead shit post when he should've been unashamedly apologizing, is the final straw. See ya (not FO) Manu.

^ exactly my feelings too.

I have to wonder if a coach like Bennett would keep a player like Manu around purely on sentiment like we seemingly have.

I'm with you guys, been far too much of this sentimental nonsense and look where it's got us, four consecutive rubbish seasons.

If they were going to clean up, they would have by now.
It's time to move on with a clean slate.
