As someone whose idea of having money is "I've got this much, lets spend it..."
Can somebody please tell me what these footballers get taxed?
Is it $0.50 to the $1.00?
So 1mill equals 500k in the hand and so forth. .

Newcastle are spending big on a few key players but what players will be around them?

If he doesn't play in a winning team then he won't play rep games..... I don't think he's a half anyway, no kicking game at all !

Anyway if he is gonna leave than at least it's Newcastle - I don't have a 2nd team but I don't mind the Knights and it would be good for the Knights to do well again, at least for their fans!

48 c in the dollar. Deductions would include negative geared props, rehab expenses, living away from home , car, meetings, agent etc. Good acc would get actual amount down to around 25% or less

Rehab expenses are covered by the club, living away from home is not a deduction, travel to and from your place of work is not a deduction.

If he was smart enough to have property, then great.
Relocation is an initial deduction, once only.
Agent fees are a deduction too.

I highly doubt all of that gets you to 25%

There has been a lot of pressure on the knights halves, ever since the johns' left.

Being a half there is nearly as hard as being one at parra.

If you are a contractor, its definitely a deduction. As an athlete, the, deductions are endless. Food. Rehab pools holidays or " training camps" etc etc.

Not allowed boss. I know of at least one very high profile player that tried the contractor tact and at the time (only maybe 2 seasons ago) it wasn't permitted. The player in question wanted to issue invoices. But it was SOO so maybe it's different at club level.

If the figures tossed about in here are true, I applaud the club for not spending more than the player is worth. Good luck to him. I hope he does well, but f**ks up everytime he plays against us.

Good luck to him.
Hes a bit all over the shop at the moment mentally but hes dead keen on his footy and came up with some massive plays for us.

Even last week to back up Val take the hit from the defender and lay a one handed pass back onto Holmes chest for him to score. Tough and skilful play.

Just on that...where was the farkin right winger in support. The guy who continues to show no urgency in attack or defence.
Unless its chasing a kick to get on the score sheet.

Thanks for your efforts birdy.
Hope you leave us with 2 premierships.
