But a big group with only 5 ppl chanting doesnt exaclty work either. We have to ensure everyone gets involved on a regular basis.

Also, I didn't notice if this had been addressed:

If we're going to try and get large flags and banners etc in, I'm sure the Club, and the Stadium would have a bit of an issue about covering the advertising on those (stupid, annoying, unecessary) boards on the back of either of the hills (if this group of people happened to be sitting there, y'know?) I think some sort of compromise would have to be struck up... What that would be, I wouldn't know... I know other away grounds have no issues with (remotely) large flags being taken into the ground, but at Parra Stadium, I've always been hassled about what is written on the banners and the size of the poles...

Just a few little points I thought might need to be written down.... :|

It's all sounding very exciting though, isnt it? :D

Very true. Its probably and hopefully the only major issue we may have.

They have strict regulations on the flag size. We need blue and gold confetti and huge flags we used to see. I reckon we can be the loudest group if we get the numbers.

They most likely would have an issue with confetti - that being the 'littering' aspect of it. We had little confetti bombs at the last homegame and they definately gave us a few dirty looks because of them...

And from memory they've also said no to throwing ripped paper etc... #-o

Don't 3RD have have one of those Huge Signs ? Maybe we could orginse to have that signage moved to where the Group would be.

If I was a corporate sponsor I would actually want large flags around my sign. It is more likely to get TV exposure after every Parramatta TRY!! :D

As long as it is not used as a clothesline. ;-)

I still believe the best option available is for the club to get some "Blue & Gold Army" scarves made up specifically for signed up members of the army.

Does that meant the group of people would have to be sponsored too?

Most likely - we may be able to bring prices down a little if 3RD get involved again. No wigs but t-shirts and possibly scarves will be there if people can/will wear them however if we can incororate 3RD into the flags we may get away with it.

Just look at what the Pathers did and I don't know if they Still do with Roberston Sleep Doctor.

Get 3RD to generate a few small flag sized logos and then sew them onto the current flags, (of which I am happy to donate my 2 bed sheet sized ones.)

Bugger. Even at away games?

Probably not - why the reservation?

It's just the whole 'sponsored supporters' thing looks... well to be honest - a bit stupid, in my opinion. It looks like the supporters are there to be walking advertisements for the company that sponsored them, second to supporting the team. I know thats a fairly harsh view, but I can't help but see it that way, sometimes.... :?

Either way, I'm pretty damn happy if there is a solid, semi-permanent group of supporters that are around ... :)

Granted is a bit silly. If we can limit the advertising to specific things though we can still give them exposure and keep the fun in and stupidity out its all good.

Yeah but on the same hand you can sometimes think that Parramatta's pure existence is to sell Running Shoes, Motor Cars, Ice Creams, Milk and Club Memberships.

I think the Scarfs and Flags or Hats with any Sponsors Logo would be acceptable as long as the group of supporters dressed in Parramatta Team Gear, you won't look like you are a walking advertisement.

But if a company wants to pay for me to get to away games or subsidies a ticket for me, to cheer my lungs out for the club while wearing there logo, I have not problem with that.

And in saying that Thanks to OzEmail, Ford, Enzed, ION, Mobil, Harvey Norman, Volvo Trucks and Biante Model Cars for my Racing Team :D

Look, we need to simplify this process.

An overlyFormal Structure will only inhibit success. What we need, is a basic framework which we all agree upon. a group of people who are genuinely committed to attending, a few chants, a designated area (as agreed by Parramatta) and perhaps we could look at some form of Code of Conduct agreement between all members - similar to the one done for the Parramaniacs.

We don't want the group to be overly policed purely because it will scare people away (in some cases that could be a good thing!!)

We have the perfect opportunity to get something excellent going and with the contacts with Parra that the Colonel and I have, we sure have a good base to start from.

Thoughts?
