Bye bye Spagnolo...

I recall that there were a few opposed to the Spags ticket, warning that their intentions were personal and purely focused on the clubs assets and cash flow. They were laughed off and pigeon holed as being Fitzy apologists. No doubt those particular posts are frozen in time in the former election thread (now removed from public view).

MITS might remember that I raised these issues with him back when Spags grabbed power. He seemed like a snake oil salesman to me from Day 1.

Allegations, do some if the dopes on this forum no what the word means?

Lots of premature ejaculation from the usual suspects.

If anything is proven to be illegal then prove it. Until then it's just allegations.

If any if it is proven then throw the book at them.

I find it weird that Roy has only been banned for two tears. You'd think by some of the Allegations he'd be banned for longer, makes me think that club arn't able to prove much at all at the moment hence the weak punishment for alleged misconduct.

Exactly and yet again it will be played out in the media to make the club look even worse. Sort it out in private for once in their lives.

That's right HJ

Roy is an OAM cause he is recognised for all his charity work

If he has these failed companies as outlined by Kate McClymont, he would not be allowed to sit on any board.

Must be a bad person to get the OAM and give to charity.

It's just hilarious that the same people who bagged the shit out of one mob for doing the same thing now see the same thing as perfect justice.

It was a witch hunt when it happened to fitzy but this time it confirms all their suspicions...

Fmd none of us have seen the report or know any of the background.

The allegations against Fitzgerald were buried and never saw the light of day.

No one on here knows jack shit about the reality of the situation in either case.

Arguing that one side is better than the other seems completely pointless when the bigger picture is that our club hasn't moved on at all since Fitzgerald was moved on.

We are still caught up in all this muckraking and partisanship and it's all bad for the club.

Id love it if the nrl appointed a manager to both clubs and investigated everything in the joint for the last ten years.

Any candidates who acted improperly should then be barred from applying or being associated with tickets and hopefully the constitution could be varied so that we don't limit the candidates unnecessarily.

Well said.

I'd also say that the people who want to come on here and tell us their agenda driven crap from an "insider" or "the real story" are just as bad as the papers and need to stop, for the good of the club.
If you do genuinely know an insider or board member who continues to tell you inside things, tell them to shut the f**k up and leave it in the boardroom.

Great post as usual BF, the hypocrisy by some on here is quite amusing.

No one who has an OAM is dodgy. Just ask Eddie Obied. :sarcasm:

I believe Alan Bond, Ray Williams (director of HIH insurance pre collapse), Brian Quinn (ex-Coles CEO who bought a big house for himself with company money), Brian Burke and Ray O'Connor (WA politicians who later went to jail), were all awarded the Order of Australia. So that, in itself, is certainly not evidence either way.
