The VERY FIRST of the multiple blows from Smith, on the defenceless player on his back on the ground, resulted in the blood seen after this coming from Ballin's snout. Watch Smith's elbow. I reckon anyone involved in a tackle with him ought to, very closely.
Most aggravating of all is that Smith had the hide to resent someone slowing him down in a tackle. It's akin to Hitler being offended by someone being anti-Semetic.
NB Look at what Smith did to his marker in the tackle leading up to Cronk's try. If he'd ended up with a smashed nose and the try disallowed, it'd be justice personified.
