My go at things that won’t happen:

1. Bears become NZ2
2. CC becomes Newcastle Knights catchment.
3. Manly takes North Shore/Northern Suburbs to add to their current area.
Why can’t the second and third points work? From an outsider to the region, they both seem logical, but we all know how illogical RL fans are. I’m not hanging any shit on this one as I honestly am not in the know and am interested into understanding the barriers to better supporting the area between the Hunter and the Harbour....

given what I’ve heard of the demographics of the NS region it would seem they are much more likely to support the upper class roosters playing at a stunning new stadium across the bridge than get behind manly paying in a shthole that’s hard to get to?

The Roosters can’t even get their own upper class demographics behind them.

Copy and paste from another thread- I’m not sure why people keep thinking that it’d be a good thing if the Roosters took over running the game in Sydney’s North. Even though they’ve had one of the best RL stadiums in NSW as their home ground for most of their modern years, they’ve had terrible crowds and their territory has been eaten into and become known as the Swans biggest support base. This is despite having all the money in the world and 8 years of nearly constant success.

People would in time come to support Manly in a stunning new stadium with a bit of a branding tweak and a publicity push/NRL backing in the region.

but you’re not getting a stunning new stadium, and you could argue manly have been no better in expanding their appeal over their successful period, you’re crowds and membership are a lot worse than roosters!

Our crowds in our successful periods are quite comparable, which is a terrible look for the Roosters given we play in an absolute crapshack and they’ve had the SFS as their home ground until very recently.

expanding their appeal is a lot different to having reasonable crowds in a small stadiums.

bums on seats don’t matter anymore, surely it’s eyes on the TV that’s important given that’s where the money is generated from

clubs COULD earn a lot more money from a large active fanbase than they will ever get from a tv grant. NRLHQ wants eyes on tv, clubs should want bums on seats,

15k in a 25k stadium provides a better atmosphere than 20k in an 80k ground.

25k in a 30k stadium is even better!

From what i was thinking it would the same home,
View attachment 47235
but a different away
View attachment 47236
and same heritage but use the sevens one which technically is the very first reds jersey

I think having both clubs as separate jerseys is a very ‘wests tigers’ thing to do. Go with one, the other or a new mixture of the 2. If the Dolphins get in with Red White and Gold, I’d stick with the Bears Black Red and White
