Is there ever any membership drives in Nth Sydney? where a few of us disgruntled Bears fans still reside.

You can sign up as a member at Norths Leagues Club. I'm sure they had a membership drive at North Sydney Oval a few months ago. There were also some events held at the clubhouse. Please feel free to look them up for all coming events, membership drives and/or merchandise/membership purchase on their official site.

AFL is the most popular game in Nauru. Here is the Wiki entry concerning it.

According to the ABC Nauru has AFL as their national game. This startling piece of "news" was on the ABC kids channel (my kids were watching something and the "news" came on). Good old ABC, they promote the sh*t out of AFL every chance they get.

To be fair they had a great feature in one of those kids school news shows when Cronulla took a game to Adelaide.

A big thank you for everyone whom supports an NRL team but has helped to chip in for the CC.BEARS cause. Very appreciated. We've had many former BEARS supports and CC residents sign up as members. But the Sea-Eagles, Broncos, Rabbits, Titans & Knights fans who have also signed up is a tremendous effort.

Carn the BEARS!!

I supported the plight of the Bears until this afternoon.

This afternoon I witnessed the worst act of thuggery on a football field. Norths were playing Balmain Ryde in State Cup and a Balmain player had part of his ear bitten off. Not the lobe but the main section of his ear.

Add to this that the North Sydney coach and manager racially villified the same player when he came off later in the game.

All of the last exchange was in earshot of Florimo and he did nothing to reprimand the people representing his club.

Absolute disgrace of an organisation

Yes, he should pull them in line in front of everyone in the middle of a match. That's very professional.

Lets just wait and see what he actually does do later on yeah?

Wests supported Hoppa through the Hoppa situation. Sharks supported Gallen when we ripped stitches of an opposing play off. Souths supported Fa'alogo when he king hit an opposition. Dog acts happen at every club. Unfortunately there's dog players everywhere and Norths shouldn't be held in contempt over it. It's disgusting and I apologize for it.

Now onto a lighter topic, here are more NRL players holding our CCBears jersey. Both are CC juniors

Central Coast support Manly not the Bears

As a proud Central Coast resident, I say we do not want the Central Coast Bears here. Our kids and juniors have since turned into proud Manly fans.
We have our team already. The Bears will always be known as a North Sydney brand and club, yet we have had no say in this decision.

Negatives of having North Sydney Bears brand:

- Ignored Central Coast history
- Central Coast won’t have a jersey representative of our region – just a hand me down rag
- North Sydney taking all of our glory – they only have 6-7 junior clubs
- Bears failed for over 90 years
- Huge debt when they went extinct.
Positives of having North Sydney Bears brand:
- Central Coast juniors
- Stadium
New South Wales already has enough teams. Logic points to Western Australia and Brisbane for the next franchises.

As replied by me..

Firstlly the CC is a place for all fans. Not just Manly and not just the Bears. Now that's said and done let me school you. The CCBears is a bid to enter the NRL. Both putting a team on the CC for it's locals and re-igniting the passion for League by incorporating and re-connecting with the Bears supporters. The initiative that Greg Florimo and his team have have set is an achievement in it's own right.

In over 3 years under Greg's watchful eyes, since John Singleton departed the bid, we, the CCBEARS have grown our status from being a bid to being a real contender for NRL entry. The Pro's out weight the Con's, yet you are too biased.. too ignorant and out right too stupid to understand. You're a hater. Always will be. The only solution for you? To jump from a bridge unfortunately.

The CCBEARS have gathered and signed on 28 individual sponsors. 5 Majors, 11 local and the rest are North Shore based. Mortage House being our main, JJ Lawson continuing it's proud tradition of supporting the Bears brand, Fone Zone (Telstra dealership), Sinalli (merchandise & jersey manufacturer). The others are already showing their support with banners, flags outside their respected shops. The money from these sponsor is already actively going into LOCAL CC COACHING CLINICS, LOCAL STATE SCHOOLS, LOCAL JUNIOR CLUBS & PLAYERS as initiated by David Fairleigh & Flo.

The Bears, under NSDRLFC built/helped fund Bluetongue stadium and own stakes for another 12 years. Flo has proposed we work to building a Sports Excellence Center on the CC with world-class state-of-the-art facilities and will serve well for the CCBEARS & CCMariners. The stadium has held rallies and marches from locals in support of the CCBEARS.

That support has transcended into financial memberships. We have 2500 paid members with a steady increase WEEKLY. At this rate by February will we have had more PAID members then the Sharks, Roosters, Raiders, Panthers and probably Sea-Eagles. That's more money in the bank that with the sponsorships dollars means all important EQUITY.

Our merchandise is selling well and there's a vast amount of people wearing the CCBEARS gear to TV shows and to NRL games. People showing their support. Overall with the CCBEARS & WA Reds we get an extra game. We get extra dollars. We get new fans from WA. We get disenchanted BEARS fans back to our code. We get new CC fans. We get the BEARS brand back, which was one of the most popular brands on TV in the 90's.

"David has said that he favours expansion in 2013 and that we are one of the teams he favours admitting to the competition" RLWeek
“Unlike Central Queensland, the amount of work needed to prepare the Bears’ home for their NRL: debut/return is zilch” Big League
