M Johns is a pisshead and many of his predictions have been wrong. I liked him on the MMM breaky show but that’s about it.
I can never forget John’s prediction for the 2010 G.F. ( wow , that’s going back some time ! ) he confidently predicted the roosters to take the trophy .

Every man is entitled to his opinion of course , however his was based upon the way the Dragon players were so serious at the Grand Final breakfast , whereas the Rorters were a care free mob enjoying the moment .

As we all know the man was dead wrong on that occasion .

On the Matty Johns show tonight he mentioned he believes Dean Young will get the coaching job..
He believes because he wants to believe as that will have social media in meltdown and has a Dragon hater like all on that show... they will be giggling if it happens.
But then again our BOD have the runs on the board so dont blame anyone for thinking that is what will happen. That is why he keeps getting a mention.
Not even our Captain Courageous Ben Hornby is getting that much push from the media.. why?. Because he does not suck up to them.

He may have played for Australia but a rugby league expert he is not.

Personally I think Flanagan has it in the bag.

M Johns is a muppet, even his brother can’t stand him.

Coaching Parole is where he can be Head Coach subject to monitoring and counselling. A regular check in to make sure his ethics and standards are where they should be in order to coach SGI.

You would appoint him on parole basis to allay members, fans, players, nrl, sponsors and other stakeholders concerns about his past and his complete indifference to the penalties he was under.

Penalties he was fully aware of and breached multiple times anyway.

Flannos said he would respond to Sgi only after they contacted him. Not good enough. No special treatment, his should have applied like anyone else, especially given his shady past.

Sounds to me …like he’s just a bit too keen on himself.

Mine is the path with a close eye on the DNA.

The coach must be beyond reproach. Too senior a position to risk, too much at stake.
Well, no club would offer the HC position to someone subject to conditions qualifying their distrust. Nobody would accept the role on that basis.
If I were Flanno I wouldn’t engage in an interview contest with a group of rookies. I think a ‘my record speaks for itself, take it or leave it’ is reasonable (not that I believe that is what he has done anyway.)

Can’t stand the guy. Wasn’t much of a player. An even worse ‘broadcaster’.

I still reckon Hunt has a big say in what goes on. He and Flanagan have a chat and Flanagan says you will play half so Hunt goes back to the board or CEO and says I’m sweet with Flanagan as coach. Conversely if Flanagan said you are hooker Hunt would have put the kibosh on his appointment.
Agree have said the same before , when he has a sook they all run to please him ......

As I have said before there is no problem with Hunt staying at half as long as Sullivan is at five eight… that combo is starting to gel on the field
Yeah till Flanno brings Kyle over and it all changes. This is what Gould wants,so he can get in Bud's ear again.
Hornby/Young combo would do just fine.
They know the youngsters and have the respect of the youngsters.
They have bled for the club and have won a premiership together and will do it again if given the opportunity to coach.

Face it.
They're easily brought under the control of the board where Flannelette is more of an obstacle for them.

Given our board is a bunch of self-serving, selfish chewies, it wouldn't surprise if they went for two inexperienced candidates that they feel could be manipulated and less of a threat.

Well I think that qualification would materialise in the form of conditions in the coaching contract which would preserve things such as releases if the club wants to let a coach go. New Coach can’t bring the club into disrepute etc.

If Flanno wants to coach sgi, he has to engage whether he wants to or not. He can adopt the holier than thou attitude but he won’t get the job if he doesn’t enter into a dialogue.

The earlier reports from him say he was waiting to be contacted. Excuse me?

Sgi shouldn’t be chasing him all over town.

Found Craig Young's burner account.

If you wanna keep signing reserve graders you sign Dean Young. Who's he gonna attract?

Might be able to bring Luciano back I guess. If there is one thing this team is short of its wife beaters.

Flanagan said recently about the sgi recruitment business:

“ I don’t think I need to go through an interview process”

Source: Fox

Which means he feels that he should be permitted to have special arrangements made just for him.

Well, that’s not how 99% of organisations hire people.

Seems only sgi and the tigers don’t follow protocol. I can understand wt being cheap, shadowy and dodgy, that’s how we roll these days, but not you guys.

He doesn’t seem to understand or have much insight about what most people in the game think of him. If he did, he’d be bloody grateful for an interview.
