So Usi wants to play the 100 to prepare for the home indian test series????.............ok

Before the first Test against the Kiwis, 37-year-old Khawaja said he would look to get some cricket in during the break because there was “no finishing line” in sight and he wanted to be ready for the Indian series.

A raft of Test stars, including Marnus Labuschagne and veteran spinner Nathan Lyon, are also among 23 Australians taking up deals to play county cricket in England during the hefty break, but Khawaja is not among them

I imagine getting paid decent money to have a hit about will keep the eye in just as good as standing in the field all day in some county games
Don't think he needs to get much better as a batter

its no real mystery, hasn't been since we learned how to play cricket

much like the phrase "Safraz invented reverse swing"

reverse swing has been around since the laws of physics were made public, probabaly a few centuries ago

They were talking about Perry on the radio this morning and how she has become the first player in mens or womens cricket history to take 6 wickets in an innings and a 100 in all 3 formats.

Meg Lanning had a great career and was a fine leader but Perry is the GOAT of this women's era of Cricket she can do it all. And she started when she was 16-17 years old and still going strong 16-17 years later.

For a bowler to be comparable to Bradman. 6996 runs @ 99.94 in 80 innings. 29 hundreds.

We'll use 2000 runs as the marker.
Bradman's average is 39% higher than the next best (Graham Pollock 60.97).

If we use 200 wickets as the marker for bowlers, Malcom Marshall's average of 20.94 (376 wickets) is the best.

To have an equivalent 39% better average a bowler would have to average 12.77.

You could compare Anderson to Tendulkar re longevity and subsequent aggregate records.

Anderson is one of the most overrated cricketers of the last 50 years. Yeah he played a lot and could swing a ball when conditions suited. He’s not worthy of doing up Pidge’s shoe laces.

Strike rates are where it’s at as a fast bowler and his is very average for a so called great of the game.
