It would but the capacity is capped at 20k. That final round in 2003 won't be beaten without a new stand or something.

Anyway all Reserved seating SOLD OUT about 5,000 ga left. So it will be gates closed for the 2nd year straight.

If our form holds up. Round 23 v Tigers should do the same

no its not :?
22,582 there last year .... & this attendance beat the 2003 figure of 22,304 :roll:

so wot are you talking about

Before the Home semi we got told to cap the attendance at 20k. I assumed that was permanant. There is no way last year had more then 2003. People were cramped behind the toilets under the scoreboard.

The Grandstands have been extended since taking up Hill capacity and add to that the new renos on the scoreboard hill. Better facities but less room

well the offical attendances say otherwise
the ground has never had a bigger crowd then last years " derby"
people say stuff like .. it was bigger back then .. there were more there at this game or that game ... its hear say

I think if the weather is ok ( there are showers predicted )
the 2010 " record " might go

Last year there was more people than 2003, about 1000-2000 didnt even see the game though!

Penrith have players going to Mt Druitt, Blacktown and Penrith shopping centres tomorrow for one last big promotion.

It won't go. I am trying to find the old thread from the finals. It's either capped at 20 or 22k.

Due to the reason Daz said above. People couldn't see the game and were trampled etc.

Officially Penrith Stadium can now only hold 21,500 due to the new Canteen and Toilet blocks on the Southern Hill.

Doesn't matter really, as long as they keep bringing in the crowds and it's a hit on TV, it's all good.

14.6k last year. 12.4k this year. This year when they're one of the elite teams and a big chance to go all the way.

they have 3 games left
how bout we wait to compare averages then

& don't you worry about anyone elses crowds
how bout a few of your supposed 20K members actually attend a game for once ;-)

Roosters this week
do you need a map with directions to homebush like most souths members do ?

3 straight years missing the 8 and out of the 8 atm. No other team besides the Broncos would be getting our averages in our position.

Do those 14 other clubs you're talking about claim the 20k?
That's my point. We have more members that anyone else, which explains the excellent crowds we've had despite 3.5 years of failure. Look at the Tits, 6 months of failure and they're going downhill, same as the Panthers.

Give any other club 3.5 years of missing the finals and they'd be below where we are.
