The worst thing about the stadium whinging this week is that there has hardly been mention in the media of the actual game which will be a quality contest with a spot in week 3 on the line. Not to mention names like Stewart and Inglis running around. We have had manly club officials several times not to motivate fans into coming but to literally whinge non stop and almost it seems making them not go in order to make some kind of point. Not helped by what I regard as zero mainstream marketing by hq as usual.

Can I also add that news Ltd coverage of the game is a disgrace. It's the finals and everyday they have rerun stories of past atrocities, talked about Todd Carney on holiday and their usual general rubbish

I agree mate but its about time the NRL took some control here like their counterparts in Melbourne do so well. We have a long way to go and we have to stop blaming everybody else.

How does one explain this lack of self-confidence league has? Just a complete and utter inability to be proactive and back their endeavours - a lack of entrepreneurship. Not just limited to Australia either, the same malaise is prevalent in England (though the WC was great), France etc. and infiltrates up to the highest echelons of the leadership. Canada, the US and Jamaica seem to hold an anti-dote of sorts, maybe we should get some of them into leadership positions.

No, the NRL has marketed it this year, the problem is the two selfish clubs that barely lift a finger to promote the game. Manly do nothing but whinge all week that they don't get to play in that shithole at Brookie instead of encouraging their fans to make the trip. Souths are notorious for doing shit all to promote games when it's not their home game. Two Sydney clubs that can't get 30k to a f**king finals game has no right being in the competition, pathetic selfish bush league administrations are holding the game back and should all f**k off and die.
