I heard this morning that Australia v England is heading for a sellout, i don't know how true that is but i can't wait to sample the atmosphere.

Theres meant to be a 50% chance of rain in Wollongong on Saturday. Hopefully it stays away from the game.

Anyone else here think that we can beat the 95 world cup crowd average of 17,708?

I reckon we can cause we're averaging about 15k after 4 games and there is still 2 Kangaroos games, Tonga v Samoa at Penny Park, semis and the final to go.

Well the semis (both of them) should hopefully get over 30k and then the final will be around 50k, also Aust/England will be at least 35-40k and then the game in Townsville should get at least 25k, i think we are chance

Our RLWC record is around 35,000 average per match (1957).

Something approaching 20,000 for this tournament would be excellent.

I would expect around:-

* 45,000 Melbourne;
* 15,000 Penrith;
* 10,000 Gong; and
* closer to 18,000 at the Gold Coast.

I've got no problem with any of those figures...

I think we will end up on about 18-20k, hopefully that 6k at the Tonga/Ireland game is the lowest we get

it depends on the result of the tonga v samoa game imo

NZ A should win meaning that they should get some good bandwagon support for the game against Ireland

i think a lot of people will go home from the first ireland game and be raving about the match and come back for the second. PLus is Samoa win the Tongans will be there cheering on the Irish!

yeh, its nothing to do with the game itself, more with the timing of it, it makes it hard for people to get there by 6pm, hope its a decent turnout

Aus v England - 40,000
NZ v PNG - 12,000
Tonga v Samoa - 8,000
France v Fiji - 7,000

Average for the round: 16,750
Would bring the World Cup Average so far to: 15,923

I cannot work out why they are playing Samoa v Ireland at 6pm of a Wed night. Give people time to get there! I know there is another game on that night - why have two games on the same weeknight?? Strange.

Agreed, up until last week i was more inclined to go to the Gosford game.

After that performance I will go the the Ireland/Samoa game just on the back of that performance.
