What the hell do you expect playing someone out of position? And on the goal kicking, it was terrible conditions and both of them were sideline conversion, Isaac Luke didn't fair much better until he had a chance from right in front. If I was the coach, I wouldn't have got Robinson to take the third conversion, should haven given Sandow another attempt since by then he should have been able to take the conditions into account.
We didn't lose because of Sandow. Sandow did not play a terrible game considering he was hopelessly out of position, thrown in the deep end in conditions that many fullbacks who have much more experience than Sandow can find difficult. We lost because overall we are a subpar team, with lazy forwards who make defensive lapses and our high error count.
I'm not saying we should keep Sandow, but blaming him for our woes, and trying to use the fact that he's never played finals football as an indictment of his skills is ludicrous. He has played the majority of his 150 games for a team that is utterly diabolical, has been shambolic in both the coaching and administration ranks and has underperformed across the board.
