Will sign with the Roosters this week or next. Done deal.
That's why the AwFuL f**ked him off....So remind of a try where he did something anything than catch.
Will never happen, it's always about the gays.Personally I would like to see him come out against adulterers, fornicators, and anyone who eats shellfish.
Will never happen, it's always about the gays.
Yes and he chose to answer in an inflammatory manner. To be fair it was "about the gays" because someone chose to ask Folau specifically about the gays. If the question was about some other type of sinner I'd say Folau's answer would have been similar. No one would've batted an eyelid if he said adulterers go to hell though.
Yes and he chose to answer in an inflammatory manner.
And your second sentence is assumption only.
Personally I think he'd find himself without a job if he went for the adulterers.
Will never happen, it's always about the gays.
The church represses every kind of sexual nature you see.....cant even think about sex else you've sinned.
That's why they hate gay people, living a true to themselves life while thumpers basically have a dull boring intimate experience reserved for procreating only.
I'd hate gays too if that were me.
And Folau wouldn't have the same skills he had years ago, over priced and not worth the drama.
If it upsets people it IS his fault. He chose to answer it according to what he believes. If that upsets people its hardly his fault.
Of course it is an assumption, same as your's that he'd lose his job if he shared similar beliefs about adulterers. He didn't go after anyone though, he was asked a question and answered it with what he feels is true.
I think if someone said "Israel I'm banging my wife's best friend and my secretary, what do you believe awaits me when I die?" then I reckon Folau would spit out whatever his book says. Anyone who kicked up a stink about it and fired him would pretty much be outing themselves as adulterers, so I disagree he'd cop any flak for that opinion. Its trendy to stick up for gay people at the moment and very, very good PR.
I think he gets too much credit for his beliefs or that he approached any of this in some sort of tactical attack on gays. His opinions come from his religion, he is an idiot; that is a prerequisite to being devoutly religious.
If it upsets people it IS his fault.
He could've ignored the comment, could have worded it completely differently.
There are plenty of religious folk across all sports and they don't act like Folau.
If someone asked 'And what about people who cheat?' You honestly think his answer wouldn't cause the same if not more backlash, what planet are you living on?
I agree that he's a dumbass and actually feel sorry for him but this victim complex is rich.
He's not a victim, he said his piece.
I've coined the expression "about as exciting as f**king a protestant".
Feel free to use it.
That's easy for you to say, I assume you're straight?Nah, not his fault if people get upset about his opinion. So long as his belief system is free and legal in this country he is entitled to it and if it upsets anyone that is their problem.
No I honestly don't think people would be up in arms if he said people who cheat on their spouse are sinners and go to hell. For the reason I stated; whacking him for that would be to stick up for cheaters and probably cast doubt over their own fidelity.
Who said he's a victim? Is he even acting like one? He's said he'll walk away from ARU if his beliefs get in the way of the working relationship - even adding he could earn way more in Europe or Japan than he ever could in Australia. I tend to feel its every poor delicate soul who read his comments that are playing the victim card, most on behalf of others as usually is the case.
