It doesn't help teenagers/young adults struggling with their sexuality for people with national platforms to come out and condemn homosexuality as a sin.
A lot of things are sins. Things we do every day. It's not just gays. It is designed that way. Cast a lustful eye towards the woman next door, that is a sin. Tell the smallest lie, that is a sin. Straight sex outside marriage is a sin, as is remarrying after a divorce in most cases. There is no-one in the world who is without it, and thus no-one who does not need the forgiveness provided by the sacrifice of Christ. That is the Christian doctrine. Gays are not alone in sin.

Singling out one sin while ignoring the rest, as Izzy appears to have done, probably isn't helpful.

Hell, by the way, is these days defined as an state without God, which isn't much of a threat to non-believers anyway.

The same Qantas that is business partners with Emirates airlines? Homosexuals are jailed in Dubai, in fact it’s punishable by death.

Having corporations as our moral arbiters wont end well.

Please.... Penrose Warrior is obviously a deluded SJW... You have no right to hurt ze's feelings with facts. How dare you... You RACIST.. This forum is a safe space. Rah Rah. Ballyhoo. Huzzaaaaa

Hell is an abstract.

In order to believe it’s a bad thing you also have to believe in its existence.

Saying someone is a lesser part of society doesn’t require that belief, because we all know some people are treated unfairly.

So are we dancing around religion, or are we just not giving it credence? Careful what you legitimise.
Oh no.... Here you go again.... Facts... Penrosewarrior does not do facts.... haha

Religion is legitimised in countless ways by our government, schools, everywhere in society.
How can you fine someone for spouting views that our politicians believe, our government funds through religious schools and charities, etc

Yeah, that is true sadly.

It doesn't help teenagers/young adults struggling with their sexuality for people with national platforms to come out and condemn homosexuality as a sin. For all the progress we've made with inclusiveness over the years there's still a lot of players that obviously feel uncomfortable being open with their sexuality. Ian Roberts in the only professional league/union/AFL player that has come out as being gay and that was 20 years ago!!! If you were a team mate of his and you happened to be gay comments like that are just another encouragement for you to keep your double life to yourself.

He's entitled to his opinion and I think he's an idiot for it and people (religious or not) can rightfully be offended by his comments.

Exactly what I'm saying. My brother (in law) is gay, he's in his early 20s and it made him angry that someone with a voice in society chose to condemn the way he lives his life.

But as soon as someone calls me a SJW - from one of those f**kwits who probably regularly uses the term 'sheeple' - I'm outta here. Unfortunately adam is right, the bible is too indoctrinated in our society to be able to rid ourselves of its fairytales. At least Santa and the Easter Bunny spread cheer and presents.

Not happening. Cameron Munster is fullback once Slater steps away

You are wrong. Melbourne needs Munster at five eighth. There is no other serious candidate for the five eighth spot at Melbourne. Ryley Jacks the Canadian may well stay at half back. Melbourne will then need the attacking skills of Israel Folau at full back.

No. Cameron Munster will be fullback. Ryley Jacks will be 5/8 and Brodie Croft will be halfback. And even if Munster does stay in the half, Jahrome Hughes would be fullback. We don’t need or want Folau

Wow... The delusion knows no bound... Do we really need to list the State Cup players that have played for the Super 12 teams let alone the Wannabies over the last 15 years? Seriously....
Yep please name all the rugby league players in the history of the game who have come back from union significantly better players? Short list. :joy:

Israel Folau brings some straight talking to the public square, regardless of what you think of his views. It is important to have someone candid like him in the game, apart from his massive playing skills.

That doesn’t mean he’s gunna be fullback for the Melbourne Storm tho does it. I’d love to see Izzy back in the NRL but the Storm don’t need him because they have Cameron Munster ready and waiting to be their fullback

He should be signed by Parramatta,as their stand alone back line, based on current results.

Melbourne must keep Herman Munster at five eighth alongside the Canadian Cooper Cronk, Ryley Jacks. That is because Brodie Croft is soft.

In that situation Melbourne needs a new full back, and Israel Folau is the best choice.

Like I said before, even if Munster stays in the halves, which he’s not going to, but still if he did then Jahrome Hughes would be fullback. Not some 30 year old who hasn’t played league since 2010 that would be asking for a million dollars.

And Brodie Croft is the future at Melbourne. He is a better player then Jacks, calling him soft is just stupid and ignorant.

The roosters need a fullback don’t they, the one they got now ain’t going to good
