It's my belief that if you hadn't have entered the game thread to continue your stoush with dubo that you were having on the closed catharsis thread, our reactions would have been far more moderate. You don't seem to see the irony of carrying on like a pork chop about a bloke you claim is carrying on like a pork chop.

Of course I see the irony.

Only difference is...I'm willing to move on and bring everyone back together...and not holding a grudge after the weekends events.

Others don't feel the same...obviously.

End of the day...its a bloody internet competition...its not real life. Its not the newspaper. Its not the Daily Telegraph vs the Sun Herald...its leagueunlimited forum sevens.

I play to have fun - and you don't seem to see that the only reason I reacted was because of your captain and his inability to take on any criticism or point of view other than those shouted at him.

I'm all for aggressive competition but if it gets this far out of hand with allegations flying around about cheating etc with no real basis for it...then it just saps the fun out of it for everyone and gets everyone's back up. That's something your teammates & yourself don't seem to understand.

But I'm done with posting about the Dragons...& I'm done trying to get these guys back in. I'm not grovelling to anyone any more over an internet competition for Christs sake and whether you come back or not...I don't care any more.

Its an internet competition and as I'm sure you'd appreciate given your circumstances to which I did have you in my prayers....there are much bigger things to worry about than an Internet writing competition. I'm going to be concentrating on having fun with my teammates & the great people in this competition - if you guys don't want to be part of it...fine then...you'll be the ones missing out.

My comments were directed toward dubopov and in response to what I feel is becoming a shameless display of martyrdom. Sorry if it has upset anyone you or anyone else. It is totally unfair however for dubopov to continually question the integrity of people involved when they are volunteering their time - and to not even elaborate or provide detail on his core concern. Jesbass is probably going bald trying to keep everything together at the moment, and I'm pretty sure he's written more words than I ever have in F7's articles in the last couple of weeks just trying to be diplomatic, despite some pretty low and unfounded accusations and slander. Maybe refs make the odd mistake, but they are volunteers. Refs in the NRL are paid well and make mistakes, and all we can do is cop it on the chin.

well i've just read the locked thread and this one.

I must say that madunit and big mick seem to have a license to say whatever they want without any recriminations, the discussion was still quite civil till they piped in.

I was asking for evidence of bias and cheating and trying to explain that we are playing for a picture on the internet. The accuser didn't want/couldn't provide evidence beyond his opinion.

The person saying anything without any incriminations was the one claiming refs were biased, cheating etc etc.

On a more serious note, calling into question the integrity of people who are volunteering their time and claim no benefit from offering favouritism is, to me, a fairly large stretch. I've offered my opinion on this before but it seems to me that the whole discussion is at loggerheads and no party is willing to budge.

I'm going to have to ask questions of the several giant white elephants that stand in the room:

* dubo, exactly who made this advance to you? I think that everything remains conjecture until some actual names are broached and people can explain more of what is going on. I enjoy a good conspiracy like the rest but it's all heresay until someone fronts a name
* Exactly what would it take to keep the Dragons in the comp? Name what you want changed specifically or the reparations you believe are due. I think it's fair to ask that question. If we all want you in the comp, and it seems we do, and you feel it's a comp worth continuing, which you claim, then what needs to change?
* I think the ref's do need to actually be given some sort of marking guide. Frankly, I haven't followed that little saga closely and I'm willing to admit I don't really want to get involved. If Jess and NT are happy, and since I quite like dubo and everyone else, I'll happily develop one and post it up here for scruitany. If people don't like it that's fine - I have a pretty thick hide and if people don't want it then I won't lose much sleep. I'll work on it and offer it up soon, but I'm kind of tired of having to have ref's justify their marks. Given ref's are giving up a significant amount of their time, they shouldn't be the ones shot.

tbh..I can understand why you crack it after hearing that..but at the end of the day if one person saying it influences what you think...I dunno man.

I'm not sure how forces of darkness were not helping the titans when they made the grand final 2 years ago...or the prelim last year...so not sure what that is about...I think it may be tounge in cheek or I hope so.

Drew-sta, thanks for talking sense, but after this experience I am walking away.

There is too much BS for my liking; a lack of acceptance of responsibility, and too much that is clear to some but not clear to others.

It would be good to see the Dragons up again, but I will watch it from the sidelines.

As for lack of acceptance or responsibility - I have apologised in this thread a number of times for my comments on Friday - so don't know what else to add. But will suggest that is also a two way street.

Well the beauty of PM's is that they are private. Those PM's as far as I'm concerned, are private and are between you and him. I'm sure he sent them to you in trust that they would stay private as intended.

No one else on the whole of the internet other than you and Titanic can verify the existence of these PM's.

It's not about believing you or not, it's about proving, with evidence, that there is bias and cheating, beyond your, or anyone elses, opinion, as has been alleged elsewhere.

If it can't be proved, then there's no case, so its best to get over it, move on and get on with the game.

As I've said before, the refs have nothing to gain from cheating or being biased, thus no motivation to do so. All the players have to gain is a banner on a forum on the internet.

We play the game because we enjoy writing about the game we love. The marks themselves are secondary.

All this has already been discussed, although I didn't have the detail that dubopov seems to be privy to.

Anyway, it's old news now. I had this out with Titanic. Sure I was cranky at the time because I was getting feedback that some nasty stuff was going on behind the scenes. If the Bluebags reputation was being tarnished, I wanted to bring an end to it. So I raised it. I have since accepted that it wasn't worth the fallout that followed. But what's done is done. I am happy to move on and have said as much to Titanic in the forums as well as directly.

The matter looks to be getting resolved, and look who rolls in. Rexxy made the point, someone farted.

Let me be perfectly frank about dubopov. He has already achieved what he set out to do, the taking down of a F7s team. But there's still a chip there and now he is trying to bring down the F7s. Of course he won't succeed.

Dubopov, I am now convinced that you really have stepped down. I admit I had my doubts, and thought it was just another one of your hollow threats. After a couple of years of tantrums, the sobbing, repeatedly walking out, the charade of calling yourself captain... and here we are, you have finally left the F7s. Such conviction.

As for the F7s comp, my resolve is stronger that ever. Haven't felt this keen to play since 2003.
