Dufty would be fine with the right coaching staff. As such, Dufty has a difficult task ahead of him.

If he wants to develop and improve his skills he will have to do it himself (a tough yet achievable undertaking if the young man has a heart and wants to get after it).

Our coaching staff couldn't even develop a fullback passing game in four off-seasons with an international-level Dugan. That's how shit our coaching staff is (and by the way Dugan > Widdop in his time with us in my opinion).

I feel sorry for Dufty. He's being mentored and developed by dumbf**ks.

We have a good squad with potential to be a great squad and take the trophy.
Can’t wait.

There is no great squad with plodders like Aitken, Lafai, Hunt more often than not, and Dufty at times, the backline is not a match for Rorters, Storm, Souths, Warriors and others. We have a very good forward pack, but a suck backline.

Hopefully the few plodders will be gone and replaced by some young, fast, fearless players, but with McNugget running things, I doubt it.

He scored around 15.....about 12 more than Duges.

I don't want Hayne anywhere near our joint and I belieive it's only Fake news driven by his manager.
My ex neighbor use to play for the Titans & remains close to the playing group. His tales on Hayne indicate he's toxic to team harmony and considers himself above the law of coaching. Stay clear IMO!!

Yes you have made that quite clear many times. But for those times that everyone wants to bag Dufty so soon after 1 year in grade and think it will never change I will reply with the balanced positive view for now until I see it as flogging a dead horse.

Too funny. Is it a bit rich to want a FB like Tedesco? Probably. Maybe I'm a bit picky, but if you're satisfied with Dufty as FB after a full year in that spine position, I quess that's your prerogative.

So with you analogy every potential or 1st grader gets 1 year only at a young age to prove themselves or cut them. So why do you still rate Quinny. How many years has he had to prove himself to be 1st grade NRL standard. If you understand playing or development, imagine there would hardly be a front row forward in the comp if you judged them on Year 1. Ponga if mentioned is an absolute 1 out of the box and rare.
You name Tedesco, he has playing 1st grade at fullback 5 years ago, then and only in the last 3 years after Canberra tried to poach him did he start to prove his worth. He had to prove himself at fullback afetr starting on the wing? only when Moltzen was tried in the halves. I did not see him playing like he did now in 2013-2014.
And about Tedesco, Dragons lost out to the Tigers in signing him to play 1st grade before his debut. We nearly had him DQ, probably did not offer enough and Price V Sheens, no wonder we lost out but alas...all was not lost, we promoted Quinny a year later to debut. Who needed Tedesco we had Quinny. Where are they both now?

LETS FACE IT DRAG YOU HAD MATT KILLED OFF ,EVEN BEFORE HE WAS PROMOTED TO FIRST GRADE THE KID HAS NO f**kING CHANCE TO SHINE IN YOUR f**kING HUMBLE OPINION,YES HE HAS FAULTS,YES HE NEEDS IMPROVING IN THE DEFENSIVE SIDE OF THINGS .BUT HE DOES GIVE THE DRAGONS SOMETHING THAT DUGAN FOR ONE,WILL NEVER HAVE .X FACTOR.

The decision was made to back Dufty as the long term FB solution late in 2017.
He has now played a full season in FG.
What concerns me is that I don't see much improvement in his game from when he debuted 'til now.
I believe Dufty has the potential to be a great fullback but someone has to mentor him and work on his deficiencies. He is not a great FB right now.
Who is qualified to help him in our club?
Hornby started his career a FB but ended up being a premiership winning half back.
Without improving his skills such as his positional play, reliability under the high ball and his defence, Dufty will not reach his potential.
All the talk about Hayne is funny to me.
He would best fit into our team at FB if you could put up with the media focus and possible disuptions.

Agree with your comments except the Hayne comment and Dufty did improve from 2017 to 18, he improved his positional play in attack and organising from the back but his form as did the team's faded in the 2nd half
